I wrote a poem for my, Baby. But it has very few reads, only 9 votes and just a couple comments.

I admit I'm no Longfellow, but it would be nice to know some people read it and liked it.

About a month as I recall. In total hours spent at the keyboard I would estimate forty.

My discipline wasn't good.

And the story is actually smaller than my original idea. If I had had the skill and patience to follow through on my original, it would have been a novel. Still might write it in that form some day.

Here's my frustration. I don't expect to have any of my stories on the top list--way too many stories on Lit to compete with for that, and I know I'm not a top level author (yet).

But an H isn't too much to shoot for is it? And I've done OK. Of my eleven stories posted, seven have their H's.

One story is at 4.14, so it's not going to get there. Lesson learned : if you do an illustrated story, make the illustrations hot, not just provacative. Many readers don't want to think, or use their imagination. They want to wank. I'
m ok with that; know thy audience.

Three of my stores live agonizingly close, above 4.40 but not at the magical 4.50.

Not a beg - just a vent! Thanks for listening.
