The Beatles suck

Why do people like this band? Is it because you were a kid when they were at the heights of their careers and you have crazy nostalgia for this band? Is it because you're a sheep and only listen to what everyone else listens to? Is it because you're in your teens/early-mid 20s and want to listen to "real music" which is basically just a word for dad rock?

I'd like some explanations.

The Beatles' music is theoretically simple, so it's more likely a person is mentally compromised if they like The Beatles.

Because they brought rock and roll into every household. They made it popular. And they were creative, brilliant, revolutionary for their time. Meh, I am not going to continue. I love The Beatles. I think they are one of the greatest rock bands, ever. And, I believe music now is still taking things that they did.

I like The Beatles because I like The Beatles. That's all there is to it. I like what I like. I don't insist that you like them. Your musical taste is entirely your own, and since you offer no suggestions as to what music doesn't suck, I have no idea whether it's an informed taste, or just a reaction against what other people like.

I have. There are far superior recordings out there and they are simple albums. I don't think any musically knowledgable person would ever doubt that.

As a musician, I appreciate the musicality of their compositions and the variation of their performances. But the kid in me just likes the frosted side.

Alot of the music coming out of the 60s and 70s were made by master musicians. Alot of the stuff today just isn't.

For the record, I'm not old enough lived these times. I saw a vast amount of suck in the music available to my generation and looked at earlier stuff.

As a musician myself, I don't find their stuff all that great. I see The Rolling Stones and The Velvet Underground as better bands from that era. The Who as well.
