Okay.. I'm just having fun with polls now and I've got Star Wars on the brain.

The Emperor:
a) Master evil planner extraordinaire
b) Went toe-to-toe with Master Yoda and Mace Windu... walked away the better for both.
c) Killed three Jedi Masters in as many strokes
d) Turned 1 Yoda Padawan
e) Turned 1 Obi-wan Padawan

Darth Maul
a) Double-sided light-staff --- Come on, you got wet!
b) Killed Qui-Jon... cold, no tricks, saber to staff.. Qui-Jon went down like a bitch.
c) Had Obi-wan down... and then got killed by a trick death (I will not forgive George for that one!)

Darth Dooku
Fuck it... he's a punk!

Darth Vader
a) Walked into the Jedi Building and walked out sans-jedi...
b) Porn-breathing
c) Killed Obi-wan (Come on... he would have taken the old man!)

---

Hmmm...
Emperor is definitely the baddest.

But Darth Maul was the coolest.

Sincerely,
ElSol

I voted Palpy for all he accomplishes...

...but Vader is my Fav.

I'd say Darth Revan actually.

When a woman falls to the dark side, there's gonna be hell to pay. ;)

Nice! I, too, played a female Revan, though i made her light side... i can't be evil for the life of me.

Also, elsol, before any hardcore fans jump you in a parking lot, Dooku's actual sith name was Darth Tyrannus.

Also, can i make a write-in vote for Freedon Nadd?

Yeah... but his SUPER-SECRET Sith name is actually;

Dark Poopoo.

I knew his name was something else... but Darth Dooku seems more a appropriate for such a punk ;)

ElSol

Darth Tyrannus wasn't really a punk. Anakin had just gotten THAT good by that point. Remember, Darth Tyrannus fought Yoda to a draw in Attack of the Clones. As well as beating Anakin and Obi Wan at the same time.

Mace Windu actually had The Emperor beaten. Without help the Emperor would have ate it right then. Windu was the tougher Jedi.

I always thought that killing Darth Maul in one movie was a waste of a great bad guy. He had to die, though, I guess. It could have been done cooler. Maybe Qui-Gon, seeing that he and Obi Wan were beaten, would draw Darth Maul's attack, sacrificing himself, and freeing his apprentice to strike the death blow. I think that would seem more realistic and make the death of Qui Gon more heroic at the same time.

Darth Vader had the most raw command of the Force of anyone ever. Until Luke came along, that is. However, Vader only killed Obi Wan because he allowed it in order to buy time for his companions to escape and to allow himself to be absorbed into the Force to better protect Luke. Originally, Obi Wan was supposed to survive the battle with Vader, but Alec Guinness insisted that his character would be more poignant as a ghost. Of course, he was right.

I'm such a geek!

I tried going light side, I tried to go dark side. Both ways I sort of ended up neutral but leaning just slightly one way or the other. I have to say I agreed with a many of the sith teachings.

Peace is a lie, there is only passion
Through passion I gain strength
Through strength I gain power
Through power I gain victory
Through victory my chains are broken
The force shall set me free.

Makes a lot more sense to me than the Jedi code of emotionless life. Granted I'm not all for the Sith in-fighting and power struggles but the Jedi seem to take too long contemplating the situation before acting.

I suppose I'd have to start an all new order. :D

Indeed, i found myself disagreeing with both the Jedi and the Sith. So, i proceeded through the game as a fully lightside non-jedi weilding a kick-ass lightsaber.

Anyone care to elucidate the rest of us as to the wording of the Jedi teachings?

OK, so I'm a little ADD today and couldn't wait for someone to post the Jedi teachings. I decided to do a little searching around and found more Sith teachings (taken from The Revised Star Wars Role-Playing Game Online Supplement and Resource Sourcebook), but I couldn't find the ones Dran posted earlier. This is what I found:

Only two... Master and apprentice.

There is no pain where strength lies.

If you are prepared to break a fall, you are prepared for the fall itself. Sith do not fall. They do not fail.

Compassion is a fatal flaw.

The feelings of the powerless means nothing.

The feelings of those with power can be exploited.

A punishment is a lesson.

Anger is a living thing. Feed it and it will grow.

What is done in secret has great power.

Those who serve you always start out with good news. Do not be blinded by their self congratulation. The more they blather, the more they are trying to cover their mistakes.

A savage appearance can strike fear in the hearts of the weak. You don't have to say a word.

The greedy are the first to economize.

Move in secret when you can. The blow in the darkness is the killing blow.

If your enemy inflicts pain, do not allow him to see it.

You must be prepared to lose your own life in order to win.

Sith are never restless. Our discipline is no less absolute in delay than in action.

Turn your fear to anger.

To draw out your victory is foolish. Get the killing done. Then move on.

Results, not excuses.

Think of the now. Think of the future. Do not meditate on the past.

Use your shame. Turn it inward to make the darkness in you grow. Your shame will feed your hatred. This will make you stronger.

A Sith Lord can be defeated if he falls victim to his belief in his own invincibility.

Do not neglect old tricks. They work.

Push your advantage always.

The battle is not over until your opponent is dead.

Even fools can get lucky.

Where are the other ones?

There is no emotion, there is peace.
There is no ignorance, there is knowledge.
There is no passion, there is serenity.
There is no chaos, there is harmony.
There is no death, there is the Force."

Sounds like somerthing a hippy would lay on you, huh?

I don't know about hippies, cause I was raised by those and they were full of life and emotion and sex and passion and on and on and on.
Maybe new-agers. They're the ones who say such amazingly bright things like, "No one can make you feel anything you don't want to feel."

I mean, I'm all about ending ignorance and increasing knowledge. Serenity is good, harmony is good, and lost of people believe that there isn't really death, just a a continuation of life elsewhere. But no passion is hard to take. And chaos is creative. So it's kind of a draw for me.

What do you know about those other Sith teachings I posted. Most of those turn my stomach, but it could just be the leftovers I had for lunch...

That's very funny!

They set their own chains and claim they're free!

Hilarious!

gotta go w/ the emperor: not only does he force yoda to retreat, but his plan is ingenious.
