The Author Above Me...

Hi y'all!

I see "The Person Above Me" threads on many message boards and I think they can be a great way to get to know each other (and find out what others think of others  ). But, this isn't the playground ( ;) :p ), so I thought I'd come up with something similar, which is fitting to the AH.

The Author Above Me is a thread where we state what we know or like about the previous poster, in their capacity as an author, here at Lit.

Have you read any of their stories? If so, which one(s)? Did you enjoy that story? Which categories do they write within? Do you like their style of writing? Do you wish they wrote more? That kind of thing. You don't have to give answers to all, or any, of those questions, in relation to the author above you. Those questions were to just give you the general idea of what I mean.

So, there ya go! Have at it!

Lou

The author above me:

Writes hot, scary stories, and is tremendously supportive of new authors trying out their wings. Also an expert at organizing way too many people so that we can do something way too fun.

The Author above me writes delicious smut and unbeknownst to many is a wonderful aritist who should do an illustrated story.

She personifies the warrior in many of us as well as the flirt.

The author above me was Cloudy before that rude and sarcastic Medusa came wagging her snakes between me and my post.

From what I have read of posts, Cloudy is a passionate and knowledgeable person, who has made me curious, and informed me on subjects particularly Native culture.

She can be a hell of a sarcastic bitch when she needs to be, particularly dealing with Abs, and I love the fact that she loves Ontario.

Abs, Abstruse . . . what can one NOT say about this rather boisterous personality?

I have enjoyed the way she she takes an everyday situation and spins it into an erotic tale, the richly textured description of a woman smoking particularly stands out in my mind.

Her humour often shines through in her writing, as well as her posts, and what I love about her is that she can be sarcastic and cutting at the very same time as loving and sweet.

Never one to leave an author on a hook, she is often one of the first to lend a helping hand with research.

DO NOT ask her to edit anything though. She's a bit lazy in that department.

The author above me is blindingly intelligent. Loyal to her friends, and willing to jump in and scrap with the best of them.

So esoteric at times, I'm left with a  after reading her posts, but it's part of her charm. Sarcasticly funny to the extreme.

The Author above me writes very evocative stories, deftly painting pictures on the blank canvas of my mind.

She is also the definition of friend, loyal, supportive, always ready with a kind word or quip or shoulder to cry on as the case may call for.

I am flattered to be able to call her my friend.

The author above me writes some of the most wonderfully erotic stories on this site. Her stories go much deeper than the usual smut stories, and drag us in, never to let go.

She is also incrediblly inteligent and articulate when debating with those of differing viewpoints.

She also is well know as the Queen of the Typo.

Edited because I can't type or spell.

The writer above me has an awesome series going about mind control. Not my particular genre but he writes in such a way that i wouldnt mind reading his political rantings if he had a mind to do so.

he is a new dad, fighting hard to not get sucked into that "suburban persona".
he needs endless supply of coffee.
he is dead sexy..

he is working on another installment of his mind control series and i can not wait to read it.

edited to add: oh yeah! hes got a huge pig fetish...*grin*

The writer above me is a flirty soul with a wonderful way with words. If you don't believe me, go read her stories and poem. She got an H on her first poem, which is quite an accomplishment!! She livens up any thread in which she makes an appearance. She injects humor (loved that grizzly bear comment to Colly, lol). And she seems to have a fascination with pink....

The author above me is not afraid to start again!

She also has so many H ratings I'm jelous, and now have LOTS of hot new stories to read...

The author above me is a fellow Potterotica-fan, who writes stories with very much atmosphere in them.

The author above me is the first person who scared me with the number of submissions on her memberpage. I have stopped wondering how she gets all those fabulous ideas for those wonderful stories.

The author above me, Damppanties, (just in case someone beats me to it) regrets choosing her name. She spends much of her time wrapped in a quilt.

When she isn't, she's writing stories that attract a good splattering of H s.

Read them. You might be surprised by the breadth of her talent.

Og

I have to admit to not having read many of Oggbashen's stories but he has an enviable list of them that I will eventually get around to.

What I do know of him, is that he is often the cool calm and collected voice of reason, showing his wisdom and maturity on threads, especially those that get very heated. He also has great perseverance and humour when it comes to writing for contests and above all seems to be a great father!

Green_Gem

The author above me--Green_Gem.

One of the most consistently passionate and dogedly creative authors on Lit in my opinion.

Talk about an enviable list of stories, as well as an intimidating number of authentic glowing comments. I've also seen her on a number of favorites lists, including my own.

If you want a particularly perverted female's take on sexual tension and passion, Green_Gem's stories are not to be missed.

EDITED: I wanted to add more actually useful information: Green_Gem writes a variety of categories, which is part of her appeal. Of those that I've read, they are all great, but her best work is in a category that I normally avoid like the plague.

Incest/Taboo is far from my normal kink, and this story certainly distrubed me on that level, but "Amsterdamned: Weekend of Kink" is aptly named. It's an extremely well crafted and naughtily arousing story with great characters--incest or not. It just might surprise you--it definitely surprised me.

Was above me when I started this. I liked the author because I clicked on the last chapter and decided to check the rest. It wasn't wasted time.

Teenage Venus

Is the author above me. She is a fairly new addition to Literotica and I have not yet read any of her stories.

Yes, I added a link to her stories to My Favorites. I'll check them out soon.

What I like about her is the statement in her sigline about the Prima Donna's of the Forum. :D

Possibly that has some connection with her first appearance. Nah, I'm not rekindling. :rose:

Let's just remember she entered not unobserved.

Edited:
On visiting her member page I realised I had read one of her stories already. At this moment there are two erotic horror stories among them and I read the one about the beauty and the beast. I liked it.

My normal stories are children's stories. The others are 'adult', so not permitted on here:devil:

That's true - I immediately got told to fuck off as it was an adult site, and 'teenagers' were not allowed, so come back when I grew up :D Quite a greeting I thought.:) (That person had the decency to apologize, and has my respect for that.) I'm used to shit heads, prima donnas, and those that like to ooze self-imposed authority.

I also love corresponding/interacting with genuine people. Fortunately they predominate on here. Between shareing their wit and views, and laughing at the others (though I know it's wicked to mock the afflicted'), I'm having a ball.

Love to all you guys:rose: (Only one so I don't cause offence to someone  :D :D :D )

I have no idea what so ever about the author above me, or whether in fact she actually writes, but I like her name. Does that count?

Carl

Carl is the first author that I have read here who made me want to cry.

(Just putting in a little heads up here: Lime didn't get commented on. Don't count me as the author above now. Thanks!)
