My newborn niece.

What was your last big date?

June/July, with my all. Spend a lot of times together.... just being together. It was incredible

Because my computer is stupid and NewNumeroUno's question wasn't answered, I shall pass it on and bow out.

What's the sexiest thing you've ever done for someone?

Well, probably whisking her away for a weekend in a nearby city. It was a surprise, I packed her up, made all the arrangements, and off we went. It was fun and relaxing.

What is the most romantic time you've ever had?

What is the most romantic time you've ever had?

A week in England with the Mrs. - touring gardens and pubs by day and staying in old manor houses and castles by night.

Is Paris as romantic as it's cracked up to be?

You know, personally, I didn't think so. I mean, it's very lovely and I can see romantic aspects in many things. And it is a really great city. But, in some ways so too is London, or New York.

Which city do you think is the most romantic?

From my somewhat limited travels, I'd say Montreal. I was there on a wintry weekend. The old city with the cobblestones streets, ducking in to bistros and shops made for quality explorations.

Have you ever been on a sensual vacation - thinking Hedonism Resort or Carnival in Brazil?

I agree with you on Montreal!

I never have done that, the sensual vacation. At least not like that.

Do you tend to vacation in resort areas, places with historic sites, or places with natural wonders?

Historic sites and natural wonders about equally.

What is the most adventurous place you've vacationed?

Almost never resorts, Historic sites - eh., Cities occasionally, Natural wonders for sure especially scenic places with good hiking.

If you splurge on one area of a vacation, is it transportation, accommodations, food, or activities?

Hmmmm, I guess backpacking in Canada?

food. :D
I like to plurge on vacations though, so often all of the above.

Who is your hero?

I've never had one 'Hero', but I greatly admire people like Bill Gates who built an empire from an idea, and is a generous philanthropist as well. As an aside, I feel the term hero is over-used these days.

Americans take much fewer vacation days than Europeans. Do you feel vacations days correlate to quality of life?

I don't know. While it was only for a brief period, I lived in Europe a few years back. I think the quality of life is different there. Not necessarily better or worse. There were aspects - for example, more days off, more "walkable", good public transportation - that made life better. On the other hand, we have more variety of goods here, in many ways better food, better housing stock, more space, and goodly amount of entertainment available, that make quality of life better here.

I think I agree with you about the word "hero." I think, for me, "admire" was probably word.

Do you think that democracy is unraveling before our eyes?

Don't want to turn this into the GB, but 'no', I think it's alive and well.

i think so.

which fellow lit'ster would you like for christmas? :D

I have a VERY long, um, Christmas list ;)

Do you believe in agreeing with a partner to not buy each other anything for Christmas.

I think a more pertinent question would be whether the citizenry gives enough of a shit to do something about it. The short answer is that the republic is indeed unraveling; but as long as the masses remain pacified through entitlements, a course correction will never happen.

Do you think the rise of the internet has provided us more meaningful connections with others, or less?

i guess if i had a partner i might do.

What sex toy would you like to find under the tree this year?

nothing springs to mind that i feel i'm missing from the collection.

Do you think the rise of the internet has provided us more meaningful connections with others, or less?

probably more cerebral type of contact, debates and such like....although it's made us more isolated from real life human contact.

do you think clowns are scary or funny?

No. I would never do that. The point of the gift giving is to have fun, to give to others. I like it.

Well, I think for some it has opened up conversations that would not have ever happened for them in real life (some very shy friends have found places like facebook to be extremely liberating). For some it has provided a chance to connect with people who have like interests, but are few and scattered and allowed them to feel less alone.
For many, it has taken away deep personal conversations and replaced them with superficial facebook chat, and many of them don't know what they are missing.
It's a mixed bag. Very little in life is uniformly good or bad.

Where would you most like to celebrate Christmas?

Do not know. Depends on the circumstances and how horny I was at the time-laugh

Assuming that you had a fling, would you eventually tell your SO of your misdeeds or just keep it quiet until hell freezes over?

I'd love to give myself a 24 hour fling out of town, that no one would EVER find out about
