It started with one message.
Just one.
A flirt, a spark, a what-if.
Then somehow, we started talking about real life - the kind that isn’t filtered or pretty.

His good morning was my good evening.
His sunrise was my midnight.
We talked about anything and everything - the small, the silly, the sacred.
And then there was this one act of kindness I can never forget.
I had to drive three hours down the expressway, terrified.
He stayed with me.
I had to go to the doctor, anxious and alone.
He stayed with me.
At that time, I wasn’t exclusive with him.
I told him he had to take me as I am - messy, uncertain, still figuring things out.
And he did.
He didn’t try to fix me. He just stayed.
Then one day, he asked me to write about us.
So I did.

I thought it would be just another story, but when I finished, I realized I was crying.
And that’s when it hit me -
I love him.
And soon, another truth followed.
I wanted to be his.
Not halfway. Not maybe.
His.
One message turned into 7,000. One Lit page turned into 300 pages.
Every word a thread.
Every laugh, a stitch.
Then one day, the messages stopped.
And the silence was deafening.
Another day passed. Then another.
I knew he wouldn’t just leave. Not him.
He would never stop talking to me unless something was wrong.
Those days of searching for him were some of the darkest I’ve ever had.
And then, the message came.
He was rushed to the hospital by ambulance.
He couldn’t text until he was finally given a room.
When I read that, I couldn’t breathe. Then I did. And it came with tears of relief.
He’s back now.
And as we slowly return to our little rhythm, I just wanted to say this -
Sometimes we come here to flirt. To laugh. To pass time.
But sometimes, without even realizing it, we find something real.
Someone real.
The kind of connection that changes how you see this place - and yourself.
