Know the take a penny, leave a penny trays you see here and there on the counter in stores? This is the story version of this.

Ever have an idea, and it seems like it has some promise, but for whatever reason you're like...nah. Maybe you have better ideas, limited time, or the idea could simply be something that could be a cool story, but you're not really the one to write it.

Purpose of this thread is to out this orphaned story up for adoption, You can give a basic premise of put as much detail as you care to. Perhaps someone here will read the idea and think, wow, I'm doing it.

This could also serve as something that could kickstart someone dealing with writers block, your toss away idea could be that aha moment for someone's muse.

But we have some honor system rules. If you see an idea here you want to take a stab at, you have to quote it and say you're going to use it, and then leave an idea of your own to replace it.

Second rule, if you do go through with an idea from here and publish it, give a nod to the author who left it here in a note "Based on an idea by, and written with the permission of.....".

Course there are so many stories here its possible something mentioned here has been done, but like any other trope no reason why you can't have your stamp on it.

I had an idea, and it occasionally resurfaces, but never with enough behind it to really grip me, but in principle its a fun simple idea.

A taboo version of Would You Rather? Family is put in a circumstance to have to choose between family members to perform a taboo act.

Example, a son is asked would he rather go down on his mother or sister, a father is asked if he'd rather have sex with his sister or his daughter. You could go a little ways down the reluctant side and do something like a straight woman is given the option of anal which she doesn't like or going down on a female family member. I'd add a big money prize to the end of it for inspiration for them to do commit these acts.

In my mind the more family the more options so not just mom dad and a couple of kids, but toss in a couple aunts/uncles in laws if you consider it taboo enough in your mind. Added bonus idea is perhaps the people who go through with the act get to pick the choice for the next people.

I now release you oh, story I will never write. Godspeed and may you find your way into the hands of someone that can do you justice.

Looks like a 'Story Ideas' thread.

Difference here is the idea is left here to potentially be picked up, not to be discussed and added to as it is over there.
Also, we all write stories here. Over there its mostly posters just kicking out ideas, and many could never be written here for 'clears throat' reasons.
There's a much better chance of an idea being, first of all acceptable to Lit's policies, and secondly, actually get into the hands of someone who can write them.

Interesting. I've had an idea that would be multi-chapter and likely outside my skillset. The outline is well formed in my head and when I can I'll add it here. I think here may do better than the story idea thread.

A story idea that keeps pestering me but I'm way too chicken to write. A lesbian incest loving wife story - A woman in her late thirties and a music teacher. She's happily married to a wonderful and successful doctor/lawyer/some other profession that makes a lot of money but keeps him, away from home alot. She is an accomplished violinist. Her very cute 18 year niece also happens to be a violinist. She agrees to tutor her niece once a week and though their relationship gets off to a rocky start, over time they learn to confide in each other. They grow closer and closer then one day the niece comes running to her crying about her bf breaking up with her or some other angsty teenage existential crisis. Crying session turns into a sexual affair. Happy marriage ruined, or is it? Do they get caught by the husband? What if they do? Or what if she confesses? How does the husband react?....who knows? he might be into it...
Again not my jam, so happy to have someone kidnap this idea fairy.

Okay this is my idea. I think there are a lot of ways to go with it.

My idea starts with three characters. A single mom say, 38-40. Her 18 yo son starting his freshman year in college. And his GF. The GF will be a useful catalyst.

Mom mentions in passing her desire to have one more child. GF now convinces her it can happen and has son invite his friends over for an Autumn cookout where she can choose a sperm donor. Except mom can't make up her mind, or maybe she doesn't want to know who the father is. But now the young ones have to plan a schedule. Each following chapter can be a night with a young guy. And a nice range of guys. One the athlete hunk, one the shy virgin, for example.

Open is: Do they know they're knocking her up? Or are they told it's just a tryst? Do they know about the others? Or are they sworn to secrecy. I favor the tryst plan and keeping them in the dark about each other. This is where GF is useful. She can be the one to tell them their friends mom is hot for them. So go bed her while son and GF are out.

A few fun ideas. A scheduling mix up finds two guys at her door for a MFM. Or guy confesses plan to his girl who lets him go if she can tag along.

Maybe the first round fails and they have to do it all over again next month.

Last, after it's done, does the son get a reward by bedding his mom?

A lot of options and fun. And a lot of chapters.

I have a pretty nice idea for the Geek Pride thing event, although I am still unsure if I am going to write it myself. Depending on my mood and motivation, I might decide to drop it here, as I believe someone would find the idea exciting.

If this thread gets some popularity, I am so excited to see the number of LW and I/T ideas

Oddly enough even though its not really my kink I get a lot of ideas for hot wife material, maybe when I get around to it I'll list a few here.

I've always thought "Pretty Woman" could use a good rewrite, with more sex and more realism.

In my version, the guy wouldn't be super rich. So repeated visits with the prostitute would tax his finances. But he develops feelings for her.

She, despite herself and her profession, develops feelings for him as well, but not because he's super rich, or even particularly handsome. But because he's the first man in a long time to treat her kindly and with respect despite the fact she has sex for money.

Lot's of conflict to be had; she rejects her feelings because she's afraid to get close, or isn't ready to give up her life sex worker. Maybe she makes way more money than him and enjoys the lifestyle that provides.

Maybe she enjoys the sex; maybe she's only in it for money. Maybe he's the first guy to satisfy her sexually in awhile, not because he's some "stud," but because he's genuinely caring.

Maybe she genuinely likes him, wants to date him, but worries it's all an elaborate ruse on his part just to get the sex for free.

How does he handle the idea of having a "relationship" with her, knowing she's still fucking other guys for money? Can he accept that? Does it turn into a "cuck" thing?

Lots of ways it could go.

I offer it up for anyone who finds it interesting.

BTW the fun part of this exchange is multiple people can latch on to the same story ideas offered; there are endless ways to tell a variety of different stories based on the same idea.
