As long as it's not my furniture (lost a leather loveseat to the Cocker Spaniel's claws) and I don't have to clean it. Also, please clean-up the dog do quickly, so no one steps in it.So I guess you’re not in favor of my suggestion to allow the dogs in the AH coffee shop up on the furniture?
Cocker Spaniels are very popular because they don't shed, believe me, I had 3 in my house, not a dog flavored dust bunny anywhere. Now I have a dog that is 3/4 cocker, 1/4 something else and we have fur everywhere. I think your cocker was not the pure bred you expected. Not unusual with todays unscrupulous breeders.Dad was wise. Cleaning up the fur around the house after that seemed a never-ending chore, which my wife and daughter both avoided.
I never expected anything. It was my first wife's idea.Cocker Spaniels are very popular because they don't shed, believe me, I had 3 in my house, not a dog flavored dust bunny anywhere. On Sunday morning my medical daughter was here with her friend and her daughters when the hospital the friend's mother was at rang. They said:
"We're just putting your mother on a little oxygen."
Friend asked my daughter:
"What does that mean?"
Daughter replied:
"It isn't the oxygen, it is that they rang on a Sunday morning. If you want to see your mother before she dies, get to the hospital - NOW!"
The mother died that afternoon with her daughter by her side.
If we named cats that way, then the little girl we have now would have been named Omega, because she's the last. We're getting old enough that a new cat might outlive us.We just agreed on a name as I was typing this: Pi314, obviously to be addressed as "Pi." This kind of naming is a family affliction, my sister has a cat named "Mu".
Is that coffee, a story, or MrP's new dog? Inquiring minds and all that.Because I like it. But I repeat myself.
Who knows? I was just reminded that senior women aren't important. By my son and others. I actually like myself. Is that coffee, a story, or MrP's new dog? Inquiring minds and all that.
The evening coffee is fresh and hot for those in need.
Supper was BBQ'd sausage with Mac & Cheese.
As a senior man I can say no bad about senior women. I live with two of them and they are nothing but joy to me. Not to mention very important. Whoever told you that as a women, senior or otherwise that you aren't important has no idea what women are for or about.Who knows? I was just reminded that senior women aren't important. I've always had a problem naming cats. Why name something that won't come when you call it?If we named cats that way, then the little girl we have now would have been named Omega, because she's the last. We're getting old enough that a new cat might outlive us.
I have a suggestion on how to fix that issue, it involves duct tape and a cold basement, email me for details.Who knows? I was just reminded that senior women aren't important. By my son and others. I actually like myself.![]()
but my steed stays outside, or around back in the stable - not coffeeshop broken yet, and ptobably never will be.There's a dragon in the basement, Lori's vampire numbats moping in the attic, and Nev the wallaby wandering around. I think a few well behaved doggies should fine.
Quite a few years ago now, we visited the local council yard to look at a vintage car they had impounded. It was also the dog pound. Bec asked the ranger if they had any mid size dogs. She said they had a Lab cross pup and he was going the next day.
Bec said "Oh, well, if someone else is taking him..."
"No, he's going to the vet and not coming back."
We left, and ten minutes later called the ranger and said we'll take him.
The funny thing was, we couldn't pick him up until he'd been neutered. We went to the vet to pick him up. The door to the recovery door opened, he saw us and tried to leap into our arms.
I think he knew we saved his life. Turns out he was a Lab x Great Dane. 120 pounds of love. We miss him terribly.
I know that feeling.I've always had a problem naming cats. Why name something that won't come when you call it?
I usually ended up naming them after their color or personality trait. "The brown cat's name is Brown, the cat that just ran up and bit him is Jerk, the cat you just tripped over is Doorstop..."
