It's THOR'S DAY! THE HAMMER STRIKES!

I'll get some more mugs ready...

I've got a fresh pot of coffee brewing for those who don't drink a civilized drink like tea. The teapot is hot and I'm enjoying a cup of Earl Grey as I pull out a box of donuts to put on the counter.

I'll be in the corner struggling with my Muse to get some words on paper. I hope everyone else has a great day and gets some writing done.

Right Whales have been sighted off of Jacksonville Florida! I'd love to go see them, but Right Whales are so rare that the US Coast Guard will keep sight seers away from them

Bundled up, steaming cup in hand. Staring out the window at the leafless trees, wishing for some warmth.

Every year I say I'm going to move somewhere warmer.

Doing that for nearly ten years now.

So, I tiptoed out once pup was asleep, and got a good four hours of sleep before he woke up for a pee. He went outside, then came in for a another two hours snooze.

Coffee is definitely the order of the day.

Already yard trained? Good for you. Our 9-y-o fella has become impatient with not being let out when he demands it. Night before last I was in the shower, he "knocked" on the bathroom door to summon me, and after rinsing and drying off, I found a puddle of pee by the patio door. Not the first time.

At least he's now doing it on the tile floor instead of the carpet outside of the bathroom door. That took almost two weeks of hitting it with the carpet shampooer to get the stench out.

The things we do for our doggie BFFs.

Checking in on the coffee for the night shift. The pot is fresh and I topped off the teapot. The donuts are all gone but I found some cookies to snack on.

Got a few words written and hope to write some more tomorrow.

I'll take some tea, but I think it's going to have to be chamomile or Sleepytime. Trying to get back to actually sleeping at night. Finally getting to the sexy part in my forty-years-down-the-road sequel to the first story I ever published on Lit... I think this one goes into romance, especially considering it took 9500 words to get to the sex. Mind you, I don't think the words are waste or uninteresting, but I do think that maybe the romance category may be more forgiving of such an extended build.

That is for sure, my recent story The One that Got Away was almost 20000 words before the main characters had sex, and it has been well received and it's in Mature, but comments wonder why it wasn't in romance. 9500 words to get to the sex? If they're well crafted, your readers will love it.

Doesn't always make it, and sometimes forgets, but he's getting there.

:coffee:(y)

I found a dried 'puddle' this afternoon by my desk. I thought maybe it was me, but the odor was not 'mine.' It's hard to spot dried pee on an oak floor. You practically have to wait for the right light angle to stream in. Except, this one was traceable by the the smell and the scummy coating. 🐢 Buddy, my elderly blind companion, didn't come to tell me he needed to go out. Or maybe he did, and I didn't get the message.

The smell still lingers... as I type. I have to see if I missed something!

I've got a fresh pot of coffee brewing for those who want a jolt of caffeine. The teapot is hot for those who drink tea. I'm having Irish Breakfast today. I love the mulled taste of it and I'll sometimes mix it with lemonade to make an Arnold Palmer. There are some hazelnut pralines on the counter.

Hopefully I'll get some writing done today. If not, there's always tomorrow (until there isn't).

Write like the wind, Candy! I'll take a mug full of coffee, than off to the cancer center to get my take-home pump removed and no more chemo for 10 days! Then a psych appointment and, hopefully gonna walk home instead of ubering if I feel up to it. Everybody have an awesome day!!!!

Just making sure @Duleigh didn't mess up the coffee. The teapot is hot and there are an assortment of muffins and bagels on the counter. For @MillieDynamite I dug out the bottle of Jameson Triple Triple so she can get a jolt to fix her up.

I didn't get any writing accomplished yesterday but I am in the middle of an inspiration and got some words down on paper.

I'm at home. My mum is coming up to take care of Donnie and me through the week and stay with us. Jo is off today and tomorrow (this isn't unusual). I'm feeling like shit and won't be doing much online or writing for a few days. But I'll be fine. I'm getting shots on Tuesday and Thursday this week and seeing the doctor on those days. I had my choice of bed rest at home or in the hospital. I chose home.
