Yeah, they are saying, "Eat me!" I'm finding them terrifically difficult to resist...warm, gooey center and all.

Oh, wait. The warm, gooey center is gone, devoured by that mischievous nymph. I may triumph in my resistance after all.

There several plot bunnies now running around my feet. :D

But resistance to brownies is futile. They will assimilate you or die trying. I have the stretched out t-shirts to prove it.

It's not just chocolate Brownies; I find a similar trend in cream doughnuts. . .

Time for Tea, I think

One cuppa coming up.

HP, the hole in the cream filled donuts is where they fill them. All though most of the time it's on the side.

A decent cup of tea does a good job, I reckon.

Ah, we're talking a different design doughnut, here, I think.
Try this one.

I can resist the brownies. But dang if the mention of Krispy Kreme won't be the death of me!

Plot bunnies...

Krispy Kremes? Ewww. . . clearly you have all gone over to the dark side. I prefer my donuts to have a little more substance. But I don't go in for the very sweet. We have a grocery store chain in the Northeast called Wegmans that makes the best donuts I've had since my childhood.

There was this little bakery in Liverpool which had the most dough-ee fresh doughnuts I have ever eaten.

But now it is time for a long coffee.

I'm not gonna say I DON'T enjoy Krispy Kreme, but there's certainly some shame involved for me when I sit there holding my stomach afterward, saying, "Why did I do that?" Alas, history repeats itself, and one contemplates these great mysteries of the universe.

BTW, you're not alone with the Wegmans love: http://www.foodandwine.com/news/wegmans-grocery-store-best-customer-experience

The doughnut wars rage. :D

My favorite donuts are Southern Made out of Shreveport La.

In any case, fresh coffee and kettle for this Friday morning.

Morning writing done. 3500 words and the end of this section. I'll reread later and e-mail it to my editor. It's always fun to see how much red ink will flow.

Sound!

My computer has gone mono with sound on the left channel only.

I've had to take it to my local repair shop. Meanwhile I'm using my ancient XP computer. The display isn't right but I can't be bothered to change it for a few hours' use.

What I need is coffee while I wait to find out the cost of repairs...

I have a doughnut now and then, but for the most part I regard them as not food.

Sugar and fat, totally bad for you and 100% delicious! I ration myself to one very now and then. I love the light fluffiness of Krispy Kreme. A lot of the others are so heavy.

One coffee coming up Ogg and good luck with the costs.

Thanks for the coffee.

Sound problem? What sound problem?

It worked perfectly when they looked at it. Maybe moving it from my house to the shop was enough. They cleaned inside the box.

Cost? Nil, zero, part of the service for a computer they supplied...

...three years ago.

If you problem is/was anything like mine, I think it's the quality (more likely the lack thereof) of the 3.5mm jacks used for the sound. But 'clean connections' is always important. . .
Time for a coffee, I think.

I have a feeling you're fond of any pastry with cream-like filling that erupts into your mouth when you bite into it ... ;)
Yeah, that about covers it. :D

They really shouldn't be qualified as food. They do qualify as delicious. :)

Light, fluffy, sugary scrumptiousness! And 1000% bad for you. Which must be why they are so good. Haven't had one in years, and all this talking about them is only making me crave one. Or five.

Speaking of 5 Krispy Kremes, there was this guy who said...

Oh well, my old Corolla died today. At last. Something went in the electrics and it smoked and everything stopped working and more smoke so I jumped out and backed away coz, you know, maybe it's a monster attack. But no. My one and only ever car that I've been carried around in since I was a toddler had passed away. So my SO rescued me and took me to work and had the smoking carcass towed and the auto repair place looked and said take it to the dead car place and now here I am with a brand new leased Corolla coz my SO knows the dealer and called him and it was all done instantly and I escaped from work and raced over and walked out with my new car coz my SO did all the paperwork and all I had to do was sign on the dotted line and hand over some id and stuff and I was there about 15 minutes now I'm back. Didn't have to wait - they gave me a new one that was just about straight off the carrier truck thingie. Wow. Well, next time it's the truck I guess. An F350? Lol.

Anyhow, 2018 Corolla LE. I almost went for the SE manual sports thing with bucket seats and all the rice boy stuff and then I thought no, the image, Chloe, the image. I am NOT a rice girl from California!!!!! So I have a very staid looking soccer Mom LE. It's so clean and tidy inside. No more Coffee and Krispy Kreme's slung on the front seat. No more puke stains on the back seat from when I was five and threw up everywhere. The memories .... and we won't mention making out when I was a teenager either... :D

And OMG. Lane Departure Alert. It's going to be going off all the time coz lanes, they're just guidance aren't they? Kind of like red lights. Merely an invitation to stop.

Oh well.

I think I hear bagpipes playing Amazing Grace.

I've never heard what was so amazing about Grace, but she must have been pretty popular.

I'm in mourning. NOT! I've been waiting for her to die now. She lasted well. Especially considering the miles I put on her and the abuse she took. I've been changing the oil at twice the recommended mileage for the last few years and in the end it was the electrics.....

As for Grace, well, if she wailed like the bagpipes, the neighbors probably needed a noise police order or something, that would be pretty amazing :D

Time on task, Chloe. You'll soon have it just like the old one. You can tow away the car, but you can't tow away the girl.

Marriage, family, toddlers throwing up, soccer...

"Mom, can I borrow the car?"

"No, Hermione, your father and I still need it. You say you wanted more brothers, right?"
