Evening HP, one cuppa coming up.
I'm working on my second pot of coffee for the day. Spaghetti for supper.

One edit and rewrite out of the way. New tires for one of the trailers mounted, balanced and installed. Both frames sanded and primed. Hull of boat number one completed and frame for boat number two glued, screwed, and squared.
Oh yeah, and there was lunch and supper in there somewhere. Ham and cheese sandwiches for lunch and BBQ chicken for supper.
Maybe I need to find something to do now that I'm retired.

I think you might have the wrong idea of what retired means.

Last night there were fireworks on the beach opposite our house. There were at least four different groups of people with fireworks and barbecues. I could see major display fireworks on the Isle of Sheppey and around Southend in Essex.
There were four major displays inland within a five mile radius. Next door had their stereo system cranked up high to protect their dog from the bangs.
Tonight I'll be doing fireworks for the grandchildren but by request 'No big bangs'. Modern domestic fireworks have a code showing the relative loudness of any bangs. Those I have shouldn't even worry next door's dog. But the high point for the grandchildren? Hand-held sparklers!
More coffee available.

Afraid I'm coming down with munchkins cold and I've run out of zinc drops. I could run into town, get some more and spend a little time at the coffee shop working on the next scene, but all I really want to do is nap.

It's a French dish, and the recipe varies. The one we make is mostly white beans, tomatoes and chicken. Sop up the tomatoey sauce with garlic bread.

Thanks. The husband unit offered to run to town for the zinc tabs for me so I am on the upswing I think. I will keep it up and hopefully that will improve things.

I used what was purported to be a 'classic' recipe by Paula Wolfort. It involved duck confit, sausage, salt pork, prosciutto, white beans and damned near a whole day. I got rave reviews, though, so I guess it was worth the effort. Actually, it was kind of fun, but I'm sure there must be simpler versions.

A cassoulet requires different handling and no fingering.
Tragedy here. Coffee, cocoa, tea, all banned. Booze too. I'm probably not allowed any té maté either, only this herbal tea crap. Lotsa meds though. Maybe the bans will be rescinded after the heart reset / restart and I don't know when that'll be. Probably after the next laser to me eyeball.Meds? Coffee? Meds? Coffee?

Meanwhile, it's too late for breakfast. But since I slept all afternoon, I guess it's a sunset breakfast. Gourmet fish sticks, spinach salad with bleu cheeze, walnuts, dried cranberries, tangy yogurt dressing -- and V8. No wine or beer. No cocoa for dessert. Terribly uncivilized. Shoot me now.
