Evening all. Fresh coffee and kettle for the evening crew coming up.
A very productive day. I obtained not one but two more small jetski trailers and another 5hp Briggs & Stratton. One trailer will need tires and both will need repainting. Purple and baby blue just don't go with fishing boats. The motor is a camo model and is in fair shape. Not many run hours but it has sat in the back of a garage for years.
I even looked at a couple of foot controlled trolling motors. One was too expensive for what it was and the other was just plain worn out. What I thought was going to be the easiest to find is turning out to be the hardest.
Now I'm pretty much worn out.
What, in the name of all that's mechanical, is trolling motor ?
It's late, so I think I'll pass on the tea, tonight.

A small motor meant to propel a boat at a low speed for the purpose of running one or more trolling lines. You can do it with oars, but who wants to do that?
It would be hard to get yourself home in a storm if all you had was a trolling motor.
A guy up around Havasu, using Teslor motors and batteries built an electric outboard that set the record at 87 MPH.
As I understand it, electric motors torque very well. Combine that with batteries that discharge very well and you get a lot of power. Maybe briefly.
Although this one time I was fishing up close to a fallen tree and glanced to my right to see a sleeping water moccasin about two feet from my face. I wanted all the speed i could find to back out of there.
Isn't modern technology great?
Morning all,
There is fresh coffee for those in need.
the PNW dry season is fully and totally over. Rain is predicted daily for the next week. I got the mini-pumpkins picked, cleaned, sterilized and shelved for the winter, the dry beans were packaged long ago, I've dug ten pounds of potatoes, frozen a gallon of blueberries for future pies and jam and today I will slice and freeze the remaining green tomatoes for frying through the winter. Other than the greens that are perfectly happy in the winter and next year's garlic and shallots, the garden is done until February when it will be time to plant the sugar snap peas. Time to go back to work on the garage.

I feel like a total bum now.
Latte and writing for me.
I feel the same way, but in my case it's been 'trying to fix a pal's aerial.'
Time for a coffee, I think

'fix a pal's aerial.' Are you trying to tell us something, HP?
Got my writing done early so I spent the rest of the day in the shop.
Housemate brought me an early lunch and there was even some food involved.
A small rib-eye for supper with all the trimmings. I'm nicely stuffed.
Yeah, I know, it is early but I have things to do.
Fresh coffee for all.
I made it all of the way to this morning before consuming any "pumpkin spice" product. I was ambushed by a donut.
Was it any good?
