Oh Lord;
I have [so far] identified four possible ways for this story to go.

It's driving me nuts.
I wonder if I might work on a different one for a while ?

Meanwhile - A nice cup of Tea. And maybe a biscuit.

But does one appeal to you more than the others?

Scallops and steak, now off to the symphony!

It looks like mine will be stuffed eggplant--when I decide to get up and make it.

Added. It was great, but I altered the recipe quite a bit. I think the author liked her food sweet and bland. I don't. No sweet onion. Instead, celery, black pepper, red pepper, fresh garlic and a little extra oil. Yum.

The mushrooms and spinach and roast chicken bits needed devouring. Eggs and cheddar made that a nice scramble, washed (*) down with cold black-n-tan Mississippi Mud. Later, fresh apple pie dampened by an icy vanilla bean confection. Not bad, hey?

Coffee? Later.

(*) My ancestral accent renders 'wash' as 'worsch'. "Washed down" becomes "worsch daon." Barbaric, ain't I? Next, the epic: Hypoxia Smurf Goes to Worschington. Stay tuned.

Ha :D

I think it's more a question of the ideas well seems to be drying up.
Got your music and your little baton ? :rose:

I'm tempted to ask if your guests feel the same way. . . .
:)
We were using wands at the symphony last night. Harry Potter music.

Driving through our fairly small downtown area is sometimes an adventure. This afternoon when I drove through I passed a caravan of classic cars. One of the streets was closed off and it looked like they were setting up to film something. On the next block there was a buxom blonde posing in the middle of the street, with a fairly large photographic crew shooting from the curb.

Last week they had the main thoroughfare blocked off for a street festival, and the evening before that another street was shut off for filming and I had to detour.

They film a lot here--to the point that if you've seen American-made films or television shows in the last ten years or so, then you've probably seen our little downtown and a lot of the rest of the town. Our traffic reports include the list of locations that are closed for filming.

The day started out with no internet. I later found out a drunk on his way home around 2AM took out a phone junction box that also carries most of the internet trunk lines. That makes it writing time.

Around 8AM I got a visit from a young woman who wanted a 10 foot boat with a trailer, a 5HP motor, and a foot controlled trolling motor for her husband and son for Christmas. I have the boat already built so now I need to find a trailer, motor, and trolling motor within her budget. She left a healthy deposit so I'm a happy camper.

A few hours later, I have two brothers show up wanting the same thing for their dad. I show them the boat but explain it is already sold and I'll have to build another. No problem there but now I need to find two trailers, two motors, and two foot control trolling motors. Good used legal ones are not easy to come by.

So now I have two boats to build and a bunch of stuff to find. I have a lead on a trailer and a motor. So far so good.

I did get some writing done and the internet is back on.

I hope everyone had a good day. Fresh coffee all around.

I was tired of the heat and humidity but I'm not ready for temps in the 30s.

Good Sunday morning, people. :rose::heart::kiss:

Editing and belated birthday dinner with the family today. I'm gonna need lots of coffee AND wine.

We finally got cold enough to frost the basil, which is always the first thing to go. The official low was 37F, but I went outside at 10:30 this morning and found the garden hose still frozen.

Which reminds me; I must take in my hose and isolate the outside tap.

Oh, 'tis a terrible thing to rip out the last long bits of text to change the direction of a story . . . .

I just mowed the lawn for what is probably the 2nd-to-last time this year. Then I sat down and watched the geese fly over. It's a beautiful day.

Almost every day I watch cormorants fly over.

Unlike geese they have little sense of direction and no order in their flight patterns. They seem to wander over the sky arguing about where to go and how to get there - and rarely agree.

I'm just floating by in my sparkly bubble and decided to pop in for a few...
