It's been a nice morning here, though it is getting along now. We had a little rain shower last night, and this morning I picked cherry tomatoes and eggplant and cut parsley and basil. Next is to pick up litter outside the wall and mow.

I'm pretty sure that some of these bombers do it simply "Because they can", rather than from a deeply-held belief that the story's crap.

I've taken to looking at them as "negative thinkers." They vote to punish the writer if the story doesn't tickle their fancy. Most of the voters seem to be "positive thinkers." They vote to reward the writer if there's something about the story they like.

They are just griefers. Why do griefers grief? Because they're griefers and griefing is what griefers do.

It's a beautiful day! We're in one of those leave-windows-open-24/7 spells. If my partner emerges soon, we could take a spin up to Lake Tahoe. Air quality is slightly better there. But we'd better skip the great Indian buffet at Nikki's -- too much too-good food.

Good food, aye, that's the rub. A world-class ice cream parlor is only a 15 minute drive but otherwise the out-to-eat pickings around here are mighty slim. The nearest Indian or Chinese buffets are 60-90 minutes away. It's a half-hour to the taco wagons or barely adequate BBQ. Ten minutes to east or west lands us at great hamburger providers. But mostly this is Amateur County. (That's a play on its name, Amador.)

Is that a First World Problem?

Meanwhile, our coffee is good. I just brewed another pot. Stop by for a cuppa.

Haters gonna hate. Griefers gonna grief. Wankers gonna wank. And they all get lotsa practice. But LIT bombers... yet another First World Problem.

More showers, some [very] heavy. The sort of heavy you get when you're soaked to the skin in less than 10 paces from the car.
Now ask me who had laundry on the washing line ?
We should have had this rain in the spring !

OK, who's hidden the coffee, then ?

OH dear, I got up at eight, made coffee, fed the cat and went back to bed. It is now well after noon and I'm finally out of bed. My house guests are still down for the count but one of them got a late start. :D

The coffee is good and the powdered donuts are also. My shoulder still hurts but who cares.

No plans for the day so far.

Do you still do the shoulder exercises ?
Is there some coffee still in the pot, please?

Yes HP, I am still doing the therapy exercises but this is a cold settled in the area under my shoulder blade and in the shoulder muscle. The stretches help loosen the muscle up but do nothing for the cold. Ibeprophin and aleve are what were prescribed along with a mild antibiotic.

MP, diet DP is for after the coffee is gone. ;)

Some acronyms get sullied by what they stand for and can never be anything else, ever. DP is like that. We have a thing at work called a DDP. Instead of using the actual name, everyone just says, Dee Dee Pee. It doesn't really matter what it stands for, but then one of the marketing guys wanted to drop one of the D words and I was aghast.

We can't just call it a DP, I said. And then, because it was work, I couldn't explain my rationale. We just can't, I said. It it... Doesn't sound right.

I shouldn't have worried.

After a hard fought battle, the change went through, the marketing dude got canned, and they people who got the marketer sacked came up with a different D word to add to the front of DP. Now everyone is calling it the same thing they always called it, but technically that first D word means something else now.

I am surprised that Aleve and Ibuprofen were prescribed. They are not nice to kidneys. Be careful with them.

I think it was Aleve (Naproxin Sodium) and Acetaminophen that were prescribed for me a couple years ago. The idea is that the combination is a powerful pain killer, and an alternative to opioids. Problems come from chronic use.

Ibuprofen is interesting in that the body only stores what it needs and releases the rest. Aleve and aspirin, not so much.

I limit what I take to what I need and then sparingly.

Ok, fresh coffee for the midnight shift and tea for those really in need. ;)

Tea ??
Oh thank Heaven.

HP, I'd be careful sitting around like that. Someone might wonder if you've come down with that old timers disease or if MP had flashed you again. ;)

Morning all. Yes, I am out of bed before noon and yes, the house guests are at their house this morning. Something about shopping for later and a trip to the storage unit to rummage through some stuff.

In any case, fresh coffee is now available, along with fresh cinnamon rolls.

Now there's an offer which is difficult to refuse.
But come one, who wouldn't wear a silly grin is MP had flashed; or even smiled !

It was a great morning until about thirty minutes ago when the thunder boomers started to the south west and west. no rain here so far but...

Uh, scratch that. I hear it on the tin roof now. Just what we need, more mosquitoes.

Good afternoon to you, too. Actually it's a beautiful afternoon here. I just went for a walk. Temp is about 80 degrees with a light breeze and not a cloud in the sky.

That's what we had, too. I managed two short walks.
