Mmmmm. Walleye….Just came back from dining out with friends. I had a wonderful baked whitefish, second only to walleye.
Dreary day here so no outdoors fun.Everyone ready to destroy the weekend!?!?
Plans?
Fun?
Work?
It’s raining like hell in NJ today, so no outdoor work. But I am picking up a new sidesxside utility vehicle. In the rain of course.
Then maybe we can dump Comcrap! Our cable bill is astronomical especially since we don't really watch that much TV.I LOVED Mrs. Maisel! We dumped Comcrap and have found that just about everything we got on cable is on Hulu Live. ABC, CBS, NBC, ESPN, and most of the major cable channels. The only NFL games not on Hulu are the Thursday night games that are now only on Prime (which we have anyway because it pays for itself with all the free shipping you get with Amazon purchases), and last season they had a playoff game that was only on Peacock which was annoying. I had to pay $6 for a month subscription just to watch that game. I didn’t mind paying the $6 as much as having to remember to cancel the subscription at the end of the month. Hulu Live also has tons of college football games. All the big games each weekend plus lots of small school games.
We're going to a home remodeling show tomorrow. I actually love remodeling and construction stuff. I thought I was done, tho, but now I've decided we need to change out fixtures in the bathrooms.Everyone ready to destroy the weekend!?!?

We're getting rain, snow, and wind here.Same…Carolinas are under a deluge…
I need to do mine. Ours are pretty simple, but for some reason, I'm always filing on October 15.Taxes. It’s raining this morning so this is a good time to get them done. Everything is in TurboTax and our tax situation isn’t complex so it should only take a couple hours and we’ll be getting small refunds from federal and state. Always feels good to get this annual task done.
Lion here! Wind, rain, and snow.Happy weekend..... is March coming 8n like a lion or a lamb!!!!
Pretty picture! We live at similar elevation. But, the mountain is just uphill.
That's how I feel. We're on top of a hill. I always feel bad for the people down in the lowlands near the rivers when it rains a lot.I'll be fine. The water runs downhill.
Will your farm get flooded?Waters already over the culvert on our farm. .5” of rain so far and another .4 expected to fall.
It’s not that unusual… a good half inch of rain in a couple of hours will do it.
But if that culvert gets washed out… I’m fucked.
I read about that! They've been chasing people out of Yosemite.
There's AUDIOS on here? Stories? Were do I find those? So enjoy your audios @JodieR … you get me so hard and so much precum
Have people always been this stupid???Not surprising. The stupidity displayed by visitors to the mountains can reach epic proportions. Sometimes locals use the word "cityots" to describe them.
Yesterday I spoke to a married couple with kids from San Francisco who were heading to stay the weekend at a cabin near Lake Tahoe. They were in a hurry to stay ahead of the storm, which coincidentally was heading for exactly where they planned to stay.
My thought was "what part of 12 feet of snow and winds ranging from 75 to 130 mph don't you get?"
It's a beautiful part of the country! When I lived in LA, Reno was a short plane ride away. We went to Tahoe to ski fairly often.I worked in reno as a travel nurse and drove to Tahoe and Virginia City and another trip to Yosemite....so beautiful
I love thunderstorms! 🌩Now we got thunderstorms. I feel blessed.
rained all day here. Still raining.
Tomorrow’s supposed supposed to be sunny and 65° tho tomrrow. I’ll get one work day in.
Dinner the house cleaned and made a nice dinner (imo): pork chops Dijon (in mustard sauce), dirty mashed potatoes and mixed veggies.
I made us scrambled eggs with sautéed red onions and gouda cheese with bacon for dinner.Yum.... I need to eat dinner and feeling blah about it....

No. It did back in January when we got two 4 inch rain falls a few days apart. It also started undermining a bridge I have up in the woods. Will your farm get flooded?
Your friend is a smart man.A friend of mine had to cut his ski trip to Mammoth short and get out on Thursday before the big storm hit.
