Anybody else here find themselves suddenly thinking, “There’s no way I’m really ___ years old, that’s a mistake, I can’t be any older than ___,” and then later on suddenly feel their age and think, “No way should that be happening, I’m only _____ years old?” Maybe it’s just me.
No. There are days when I get up and stare in the mirror and go "what the fuck happened?"

Has anyone here seen “The White Lotus” on HBO? Just completed season 1 and found it entertaining. There are enough “over 50” characters to keep it from being another show targeted exclusively at Gen Z and millennials. My millennial daughter recommended it to me and it turned out to be a series we both liked.

The acting and character development is good, and there are some clever twists in the plot that keeps it interesting without requiring a whole lot of concentration. It’s set in Hawaii which is an added attraction for me. I lived on Oahu for a year when I was in second grade and have vacationed on the islands many times. Just love it there.

I plan to start Season 2 over the weekend.
I've heard it was good. Sadly, we don't have HBO, so I won't be able to watch it. We just don't watch enough TV to justify the subscription.

Season two is fun.

I think you can stream HBO’s service called MAX, but not sure how much it is? We have the subscription so it comes with that. We’ve been talking about cutting the cord as I’m about the only one who even turns the TeeVee on anymore.

It's not so much the heat, but without moisture big increase of fires, which sucks for a fun summer. So many camping restrictions if you can get out because of the smoke in the air is so heavy. I so want to go by the lake and go camping this year lol
Last year was there first time wildfires affected my summer. Never were they an Issue for us in Michigan. Heat and humidity are the typical issues in summer.

I grew up in the S.F. Bay Area when there was water a plenty but it started fading. Moved to SoCal and it was literally jumping in the fire but now the Bay Area is drying up as well.

Water, the new oil.
Yep. During the drought it was loads of fun when Nestlé was completely ignoring the water restriction to crank out bottled water at their factory in LA.

Plenty of rain coming down here in western Washington for the annual rain festival (Jan. 1 - Dec. 31)!

I was reading a A.P. story about “Ghost” networks. The ones that hang on for no apparent reason.

Disney lost 93% of its subscribers since 2014 (ouch).

AMC lost 73%

Most lost about 50%.

In 2015 87% of homes had cable, today it’s 47%. I cut my cord in 2013 when I learned a third (!) of my basic cable bill was just for ESPN. They wouldn’t unbundle so I bought an antenna for Jeopardy and the News. Buh-Bye.

The only cable network to gain viewers since 2014 is the Hallmark channel which caters to older women.

If you got this far here’s the questions….

Do you have cable/dish?
Do you watch any Ghost channels?
Which streaming services do you have access to?

1. No cable or dish as cut the cable in 2013.
2. Ghost chanels like Disney as it is part of the HULU package. I am conssidering reducing HULU Live to regular HULU so I can watch my regional sports on FubuTV.
3. I have Paramont, HULU, AppleTV, Netflix, PBS, and Prime video. Added up, its about the same as cable BUT I get the stations and shows I want to watch. On ROKU, I also get my local stations.
