Where we live, a vehicle is a must. There is no transit here. The closest bus stop is over 3 miles away. They're also very inconvenient and take 3 times as long to get anywhere. If you start seriously looking you’re apt to find Dealers don’t have many, or even any, of whatever you’re interesting in. That magic equalization between supply chain and manufacturing doesn’t seem to have found it’s mark yet.
I haven't had a personal car for over 18 months and I doubt I ever will again. But I can do that, I know most people can’t but it’s a freeing experience if you can work it out.
Good luck with your search.
Our buses are only for school out here ...real bus stop is about the same or farther...Where we live, a vehicle is a must. There is no transit here. The closest bus stop is over 3 miles away. They're also very inconvenient and take 3 times as long to get anywhere.![]()
Thank goodness - one or two cups gets me through the day just fine. I would love to try your chicken soup. I do make a vegetable soup that has helped. One or two cups of coffee is fine. Just don't drink the whole pot! Teas and water are good. Also soups. I make my own chicken broth. If we lived closer, I'd make you chicken soup.
I hate being on steroids! They really mess me up! My Dr always has to talk me into taking.
I'm glad you're getting good sleep. Rest as much as you can.![]()
Such a bummer. I really have an affinity for vehicles that don’t owe you anything. On Valentine’s eve my mechanic gave me news that’s left me with a broken heart. My beloved Ford F-150 of exactly 20 years has sputtered its last puff of exhaust.
Now the question is what comes next? Not sure I want to spend $50K+ on a new truck. Mulling 3 very different options. A practical, reliable small car for getting around town that’s easy to park and fits easily into the garage like a Honda Civic. Or a midsize SUV with lots of storage space. Or, heaven forbid, a minivan like the Honda Odyssey that will hold three car seats for the grandkids. Thought my minivan days were over about 20 years ago but things change.
The salvage company will be hauling the F-150 away next week. Breaking up is hard to do.
Prior to WWII commuting as we know it today didn’t exist, what we have today is abnormal, but it’s what we have so gonna live with it.Where we live, a vehicle is a must. There is no transit here. That sounds good!Thank goodness - one or two cups gets me through the day just fine. I would love to try your chicken soup. I do make a vegetable soup that has helped.
To calm the steroid storm, I made a creamy barley rice soup today. It helped alot.
You are a sweetheart!
Off to bed soon.
I think it's wonderful you can walk to work. When I lived in CA, I was able to ride my bike from one place I lived and walk from another. It's a great way to work off stress from the day!Prior to WWII commuting as we know it today didn’t exist, what we have today is abnormal, but it’s what we have so gonna live with it.
I’ve managed to never commute by not working anywhere I can’t reasonably walk and still have a decent place to live. I can walk to my office in about 30 minutes, a well spent hour any day of the week.
But that’s my priority, if I lived in rural Montana I’d have to rethink what I do, one size never fits all.
Of course, SIR! Take all you want! I have an unlimited supply!May I have some of each please Miss Lil ??? Both need AND want!

Consider wearing a mask so you don't infect the kids. Glad you slept well!Good morning. The sleep stated out with lots of coughing but evenyually I got a good night sleep. I feel much better this morning as I have a grandpa taxi run. Thank you Lillianna.
Thanks for the mask reminder. I also keep my distance. This morning I drop off my grandson so I have more personal contact.Consider wearing a mask so you don't infect the kids. Glad you slept well!
Sounds like a bit of fun. The world is your oyster! What’s frustrating is that it only has 166K miles on it. The engine and body are still ok. It’s the electrical system that’s shot. I’ve already replaced the module that controls the distribution of electricity once before and now other components are going that cannot be replaced because parts are no longer available. Also the cab leaks when it rains which has compounded the problem. Other little nagging issues as well. Twenty years is a pretty good run though. Going out to the dealerships today to try and narrow my range of options. I’m all over the place in terms of what category to shop in. Kinda fun.
It's late. I need to get to bed...Thanks for the mask reminder. I also keep my distance. This morning I drop off my grandson so I have more personal contact.
Thanks for you health tips.
You are up early or is it late for you?
