So what did you all have for dinner. I am going to brag a bit about my BBQ pork ribs. They were delicious.... moist fall off the bone with a sweet and tangy sauce....yum... the pic isn't great... it was the thick end....hahaha. I have never cooked these before so I am pretty proud of them
Excellent! They look yummy! 😋

From the heart of BBQ country, a lot of my brethren here prefer burnt ends, but I'll take some smokey, tender pork spare ribs any day of the week.

One of the first things I did was write a book. i self published it and had a blast. It was a book about local history and I sold copies by giving talks to history groups, book clubs, community organizations, and seniors. It went so well that I ended up writing a second book, this time with a publisher. Most of us have at least one book inside us waiting to be written.
Oh wow! Congratulations first and foremost on your writing! How interesting. I’m a history buff also, but there’s a historically based novel swimming inside my head…I only need to put pen to paper now.

They were soooo good and I have lots left... gonna share half the rack with the guys next door. Oh I forgot the best part the rqcks were about 14$ buy one get one free!!!!!
I do a Dixie trip each spring; I got a cousin in La who makes a gumbo that makes one cry!

What historical era do u like? I did a paper when getting my bachelors of nursing for my final that talked about ww2 the holocaust focusing on victim and perpetrators and what turns men into monsters

I have made shrimp etouffee before and everyone loves it. I dont like seafood so I didn't even taste it
Seafood not so good here in Illinois, but I used to date a NOLA black honey who could also make a man cry, in more ways than one.............

When my mom retired, she never had to come visit me, she was too busy with all the extra curricular activities she got involved in. She never had the opportunity when she was working to do those things.
Well Hump, I am 79, and there is lots to do, esp if you are healthy and can afford to travel. I have kids all over, and friends from NYC to Washington State, in Dixie, etc. Hit the road.

Hardly a gentleman! Firewood primarily. It’s largely a wooded lot.

Also pumpkins, gourds, sunflowers, ornamental corn.

There's a joke in there about you sharing your rack with the guys, but it's just too easy. I prefer a challenge.
