My gaming group does an auction for Toys4Tots every year...6k to 7k every year. We play games so we make sure kids get some for Xmas! I hate getting gifts but it's a lot of fun helping make some kids happy.
But as an old guy I feel compelled to say...get off my lawn you kids!

A few months ago I started getting e-mails from "Silver Singles" The first time I stared at these pictures of women in their sixties and realized....they're not that much older than me...sounds stupid, but it really hit me that...holy crap I'm getting up there.

But that's okay, I still get the ones that say "Hot Asians in my area want to meet me" so I guess they must like older men.

I had a waitress give me a senior discount for the first time. Still not sure how I feel about that. But I will take the discount!

Some people do take advantage and have outsized expectations. We had that as well. I understand your feelings. What you're doing is amazing. 🤗🤗

Reminds me of when I was deployed in Korea. I had a cute little Korean GF that had broken up with me recently. About a month later I get a call from her…meet her at our favorite Calbi restaurant and we’d talk.

We sit down to our meal and I notice she’s being very loving and touchy freely…quite unlike her! She was a more reserved type out in public. We’re having a good time and I’m think she’s just missing me…you know? 🤣

She then springs her trap! She asks me “why don’t you marry me? Take me back to the US?”…hmmm…I ask her “do you love me?” “No” she replied, “I just want you to marry me so I can go to the States and study”…😂

I give her a 10 for boldness and another 10 for honesty!

We didn’t get married but remained friends until I turned into a pumpkin and had to leave. After this when we passed out in public we always would greet each other with big smiles, and she never missed the opportunity to reach up and stroke my cheek with her hand…
 
Gonna try and go clean up some stuff at the rental today. Insurance is probably not going to cover the damages….
$500 for the dumpster. ?$ for a new roof and carpet. 🤬
 
It’s something I have to do. Just trying to stay positive and keep myself from getting sick. It’s disgusting and I just want to walk away from it, but that’s not how I live my life. Just going to keep reminding myself of that.
