Beautiful weather today. I need to take a leisurely walk today.

Also learned my mother in law has entered hospice. I am feeling for my step children as they have already lost their mom and grandpa within the last 2 years.

Sorry b2. This is tough news.

Happy Saturday!!! Sounds like we have a few Real World things going on here, so I'll extend you some of Wat's Best Wishes and will light the Josh (which actually is already burning). I was going to register a complaint about something I'm looking at, but it's so First World as not to merit mention in light of. Honestly, I'm glad that I can see the difference. It's in the being able to recognize it and to see and appreciate the difference.

It’s my turn to sit with my mom in the ER. The surgery was supposed to be yeaterday and I can’t imagine it happening over the weekend.

She’s still in ER. These hospitals in NY are a shit show.

Got a call 1/2 way there from my sister. My mom is scheduled for surgery at 930am.

So no need to go to the city. My sister or I will go later in the day.

Surprised they did surgery on the weekend.

I couldn't be farther on the tea grid from @Greylag if I tried.
I'm a solid 1A with no milk or sugar. Anytime I did add them, I was still a 2B or 3B. I believe @Greylag said he was a 4C.

I prefer to put my loose tea in the pot, boil the water with my electric kettle, then pour the water into the pot. I place a strainer over my cup and pour the tea into my cup. If cleanup or tea strength is an issue then I use a tea strainer that goes into the pot so it can be removed once the tea is the desired strength and so clean up is easier, too.
But on-the-go, I use bags. A mix of commercial tea bags and tea bags that I hand fill with loose tea.

I am with you on the 1A but might add a touch of honey or bourbon on some days.

I wasn't sure if they would either but added my prayers to the mix. Glad her injury is being addressed sooner rather than later - tends to lend itself to a better outcome IMO.

Had an uncle who did the honey as a natural option to refined sugar. I would buy him honey sticks every once in a while and later Honey On-the-go packs when they came out. Not everyone carries honey - home or shop/restaurant.
When I used to drink, I liked a good bourbon... but never in coffee. IDK why not. Never cared for booze in my coffee or tomato juice... now I can't tolerate booze or anything tomato... and my coffee is decaf. Ah well...

She got Beau as a puppy and Daisy (originally called Sadie but I heard Daisy and we went with it - all 3 of us) when she was 8 or 9 months old. They're just about the same age. Daisy was put out for killing chickens and chasing cows. They looked at each other as the other half of the same dog. I named them The Universal Puppy. He acts like he's in charge and she tops from the bottom. IT's her show.


There's an old car trailer in the side yard that they sleep under on hot days. I went out of the house mid-morning of the second day there and she came out from under there Meaning Business, like what are you doing in my yard, h000man? I haven't had a dog bark and growl at me like that in a very long time. It was maybe 2 seconds and she heard my voice and all was well, but I feel better that ain't no old dumb shit going on there while I'm not there. Daisy is on the job, and she sounds quite serious. She is a killer.
