The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

For some reason, I've been a day ahead all week. 🙄
Are you telling us you're ...fast? 🤨😉🤭
Being old does wonders for beauty sleep.
Did you get that nap? 🫂
sounds like a day ending in Y for me
weekdays it's work that gets in the way
weekends i simply forget 😲☕
I’m just rambling now…
Keep going - your rambles are better than my reality 🤣
Well shit..... she needs a tracker tag
Sneak a "family finder" type app on her phone and set it to run in the background?
My mom never answers the phone anymore. I call her on Alexa.
I tried so many times to tell my mom - fingerpads not fingernails on the touch screen. Ultimately she was better at texts than calls.
I’m pretty opinionated about music and who is the best band in the planet. I guess it just depends which way the wind blows.
I enjoy almost all kinds of music
But I definitely have preferences 🤘
Time too clear up the walnuts from the neighbors tree🤪😜🤣
My auntie used to do with with a neighbor's pecan trees. 😋 🤤
Walnut Pie
That looks like a well made pie, RJ.
It'll be in the low 40s in the morning.
It’s been cold all week. This morning we had frost on the front lawn.
Our morning forecast for tomorrow is 32° F
I love this time of year. Crisp mornings... some with frost. Sweatshirt weather but not so cold you need to really bundle up. Just a light jacket and maybe gloves. 🥰
Finally slowing down for the day. Had to work on the pole
Sounds like a busy but fruitful day 😉🍎
Weird thing in the grocery store. I’m still getting used to not shopping for my dad as well as the rest.
The store music was Barry Manalo, but over never the fine cheese area, it was Jethro Tull!
🫂 Some of those habits take a lot to change. So easy to slip into autopilot and the next thing you know...
Barry Manilow - haven't heard his music for a while
 Hmm, Jethro Tull for the fine cheeses, you say? That's just silly - everybody know Hip-Hop is the best choice for cheese making

Finally slowing down for the day. Had to work on the pole saw to prepare for knocking some trees down. The chain wouldn't move on the bar. Turns out bar oil weeped into the driveshaft, and that's too sticky. (Note to self, store it with the bar down, not up!) Spent the morning cleaning up, and then a trip to town for parts/gas/food. Now the pole saw works, but it was getting dark by the time everything was back together and other projects were done. So tomorrow it shall be.

This last batch of apples are tasting awfully good, and I manage to chew on one for almost every meal of the day. The smarter half has been making canned spiced apples, salsa, and apple sauce. I'm hoping for a pie and a crumble in there too.

Evening was spent picking away on a long term car project. Darned near the whole evening on one connector and cable combination. Takes a freeking PHD to sort all that shit out.

And, why did the freeze less wall hydrant that froze last winter have to be an 11" long faucet? Everyone makes 6,8,10,12, and 14". Not an 11". Try finding one of those bastards!

Snow's a comin'!

Anyway, going to wind down and be lazy for the rest of the evening. Maybe even have another apple! 🤣
Seein' how you have plenty of apples, I'll send you a recipe I made up for "sausage apples" when I get a chance...

I had a productive day today. Knocked out two projects.

My powder room is basically done now. I don't think I'll do any more painting but may slut it up a bit with some more stick on pearls and rhinestones. I also have a picture to hang up still. When I get it up, I'll post another pic. I really love how it turned out! 💙✨💙

This is excellent use of money. A good investment.

your teacher was wrong.

It’s entirely appropriate for third graders to be rebellious, questioning authority, bucking trends and sticking it to the man.

Few things are actually more American.

Mindless conformity and keeping up with the joneses is not only uncool…

It’s unamerican!
I absolutely LOVE your way of thinking!

I promise You that it does get a bit easier... I lost mine in 2019 and still miss him, but every time I think of him it's good memories that bring a smile to my face.
