The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

Good news on all fronts!🥰 Who are you seeing?
These bubbas! They were fantastic. Lowell has long been gone and I think maybe only two or three original members are still around, but they’ve kept the tunes coming since ‘69 in one way shape or form! The new version of Spanish Moon sounded just like the original off of Waiting For Columbus😍

SWMBO and I know the drummer that is with them now!

Here’s Tedeschi Trucks Band in Red Rocks last year doing a Zep tune. This is the current lineup we saw last night. Their backing members have changed over the years.

Love them!

Hey RJ…I think I read somewhere they had like 17 different cars? Some were just for the stunts…the jumps specifically. Then they probably had a few for takes? I could of course be confusing this with the Bandit’s TransAm…

Cool find either way!

When SWMBO delivers she throws strikes. Concert last night was F’n epic! Little Feat and Tedeschi Trucks Band! Little Feat opened up and was joined by Susan and Derek and several of their horn section, then TTB did their own soulful thing! We’ve seen them several times as they like to whistle stop in our town. We’ve even driven up the capitol city to catch them. Unless you’re in St Augustine, where they’ll do two more shows, they’re hanging it up till next April.

Killed two birds w one stone yesterday. Momma’s last radiation and then took her to see her brother. Had a nice visit and then lunch. Pulled a Tim-the-tool-man-Taylor and stubbed my big toe so hard against the stairs…it’s all black this a.m. so going to skip the walk and rest it…

The HMMZ continues!

Glad Little Feat is getting some love these daze. I know they just out out a new album. Heard a few tracks on underground garage - sounded good. TTB seems to be a big thing too (not my style but always hear good things!)

Sounds like a killer show!

Sorry you stubbed your toe. That can seriously hurt.

Your cleared. Your mom and uncle on the mend. Good stuff.

Morning spoonies
Looks like Thursday is hanging around a bit longer
Let's see what's up
I tried to get the pink buckets. I guess I was too late. I could have ordered one. The bucket is $5. Shipping was $90 ‼️‼️ 😤🤯🤯

I noped out of that and bought 2 blue ones.

Thanks, OM. I'm feeling like there's not enough coffee for me to handle this week... maybe next? 😩
There will be karma.
Is that why people say karma's a bitch?
So should be fun… then I’m gonna fly home. Can’t wait to get home - Mrs wonderer.

Then next week I get to do it all over again.
Enjoy the lunch... then Safe travels home for a bit at least
The PM texted me last evening after 8 about calling me today, which is fine.
Geez, what a roller coaster 🎢

Win Column! Did she get to ring the bell? 🔔
Feeling positively sluglike this morning. Maybe a snackiesnack and then a bit of scribbling.
🫂 Hope you feel better soon
Just made a fresh pot of coffee!
Would anyone like a cup? ☕
Hit me!*

*Just with the coffee, please and thank you very much

Well mixed news from the pack as we work through the season. Sadly Toby had a swollen hock and infection so it was a trip to the vet, painkillers, steroids and antibiotics. He now has two weeks rest.

But without him Ben, Sam, and Jack have stepped up,and done some amazing work. In particular Jack is developing brilliantly and finding birds off his own back.

Then we have Will, a lovely dog one to one and coming along superbly. Put him with the others and he is a near 9 month old thug. He is huge for his age and simply batters them at every opportunity. He is put in his place occasionally but largely tolerated as pups are lol

Yep - some folks need the extended prep to be ready for the scope.
I don't need the extra liters of prep but I do start the diet changes and extend the liquid diet an extra day since my GI system is sometimes a bit on the slow side.
Certainly don't want them saying you're not clear enough to scope and then have to reschedule and start all over again.
Prep was the worst bit but at least I was clear for three years!

Good morning denizens of the diner. Slowly I am adjusting my sleep schedule so I get up late. And the old dog gets better every day.

The consensus of the thread: colonoscopy prep is a pain in the ass! 😂
And to think, everyone poo poo'd my suggestion, when I said that Harbor Freight had boroscopes on sale for $49.99 🤣🤣

LOVE me some Little Feat!!!
I got to see their first reunion tour on a riverboat in NOLA, many years ago.
Bonnie Raitt got up and did a couple of songs with them... good times for sure!

Wow. What handsome dogs! Glad to hear Jack is really developing into a good bird dog.

Very sad to hear about Toby though. Hopefully he will be back soon enough.
