Also, is the deck is attached to the house? If so, does he do flashing properly so you don't rot the wall out? (I've seen people do this incorrectly, and end up with major repairs in a 5-10 years...)
Good call. Also, is the deck is attached to the house? If so, does he do flashing properly so you don't rot the wall out? (I've seen people do this incorrectly, and end up with major repairs in a 5-10 years...)
I had never considered this when I did my back porch. Wish I had known about it. Smart.Honestly, if it's free standing I think that's a better design. A small gap between the siding and the deck is a good thing, IMO.
The two are not mutually incisive???
Very good! Felt rested?Went to bed at 11 and up at 530, so pretty good!
Make sure you rinse your eyes really well. Continue to rinse throughout the day until the mucky/blurry feeling is gone. Cool compresses will help as well. See your eye care professional if you're not feeling better in a day or so.I think I got a little bit of poison ivy over the weekend and I think it might be in my eyes cause it’s a little bit blurry and my eyes are a little bit mucky…
But I read that as:

We used to have a cedar deck. My husband would strip it with the pressure washer yearly then reapply new stain. He got tired of doing that; we now have a composite deck.Great points! I would agree with composite decking. We did that on our back deck last year. No regrets!
Then wait until you feel sure.It is barely a deck.... it is steps with a landing... that is what passes me off the most. He said he would concrete support posts in.
For some reason. I feel reluctant
Good advice! Thanks, H!You’re welcome dear!! Four wheel drive is one of those things you may never really need but when ya need it, ya need it, and glad ya have it. You can look in your owners manual and it will explain the in/outs but next time you’re on the U-Toob just put your vehicles name/date/4WD, and I bet some enterprising car dealership has made a vid of how to use it and when to use it. Little things like can you shift “on the fly” (not recommended by most but some you can) and other tidbits.
The fishing trip was fun…comical at times…but we caught keepers which made all the fuss worth it. We cleaned them that night but were too tired to cook so ended up taking the mess over to mama’s last night and we had a big fish fry and of course told tall tales about how big the fish were and how hard they fought! My mother is still recuperating so we didn’t make her coleslaw and hush puppies, we farmed that out from a local BBQ joint.
We made it through Monday and I didn’t’ see too many complaints! Except for that rain in Jersey?. Wonderer said he was OK…I’mBack made the post so she’s OK…we have anymore in the Garden State?

The deck is a little elaborate but something like this is what you seem to be describing? This project could be broken up into two halves. Deck/steps, then add the pavers later.
No, no, no,no, no.....I was a kid staying at my grandmothers once. I was having raisin bran for breakfast. You know how raisins sometimes have a little black end, that breaks off and lands in the box? Anyway, I was chowing down, and looking at all of the little ends floating in the bowl. As I was getting close to finishing up, I realized they were little bugs. Lots and Lots of little bugs...
I never trusted her cereal again!![]()
