The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

I am waiting for the day... I'm not a candidate for Lasik and by high school my correction far outstripped what radial keratotomy could correct. So cataract surgery it is... but unless you have obscured cataracts insurance won't kick in a penny... and it costs about 10x what Lasik does

Yes - those Morning Zen photos are fantastic, H!!!
I wasn't a candidate for Lasik either. I think the most they are able to correct is a -6, IIRC.

My opthomologist had been after me for a few years to have the surgery. He finally basically put his foot down and TOLD me I was having it. My insurance wouldn’t cover his off-site clinic so I had it at the hospital where I worked. This was an advantage to me as I knew all the anesthesiologists.

I have "You can't handle the truth" running through my head but subbing in Wat for truth.
IKR?? 🤭🤭

Good and busy day.

Also had some time for relaxing. Breakfast poolside.

Then it was off to work.
- mowed two properties we manage. Our neighbor there is a lovely lady whose lawnmower is busted, so we mowed and weed whacked hers too. It’s a small years so no big whoop.
- off to the garden shop where I decided to see if it was the chainsaw chain that was messed up. My cuts have not been straight, but I am also sharpening my chain myself, so maybe I’m not doing it properly. We’ll see!
- then to farm where we sold a shitload of wood over the last few weeks and I couldn’t be arsed to fill the bins back up - but finally did today. Split another 3/4 cord of wood, then stacked it.
- then home for more poolside relaxation, dinner and a little fun. 😏
- and then we heard our generator kick on… no power! Should be back up by 10:30

25k steps… but not all of them were “steps.” 😂
You always make me so tired! I stayed in out of the (excessive) heat! 😅🥵😅

Not sure. Wouldn't mind a wallpaper just on accent wall... but I can paint to.... and it's just paint...takes me forever to decide on a color
I just have a basic cream on the walls. I think it looks good with the natural woodwork around the windows and doors. It also is a good "canvas" for any artwork I want to put up.

It does have 4WD. There's a setting for 4WD high and 4WD low. IDK how they're supposed to work. I try not to drive in the snow. Our snow, when we get it, is usually very heavy and wet. It also melts then refreezes leaving ice on our hilly roads.
In my state,I did drivers training in snow and ice (hate ice). Let’s talk more when winter sets in. Now it’s too damn humid and hot.

Good morning spooners. Yesterday with my friends of 50+ years is what my soul needed to lift my spirits. Another 7 hour sleep and getting ready for another day.

I have some shopping for old dog to do. But I am going to keep outdoor exposure to a minimum. Peaches are coming on so that’s for morning.

Wishing you a good day. And thanks!

I am in FL now so no snow but I lived in PA. The only time I got stuck in the snow was when I went thru a drift and sat the truck up on the frame so the wheels were not on the road. Ice is the worst. I would go out and drive in a parking lot after a snow and spin around after a snow just to get the feel of braking and turning. If there is ice stay home if you can.

Did you learn nothing from the talking to I got because I used a chair to change a light bulb?!?!?

Wat, W, and probably G got after me because it wasn't safe! Consequently, I'm now the proud owner of a two-step stool.

Check and see if your neighbor boys have anything to help you. Maybe they will even help!
I got an extension for my paint roller
I have a real fear of falling so I try to be careful...
I can't wait to get this shit done
