The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

Old shit I have seen while being between Here and There:

1956 Ford Fairlane (?), baby blue
lotsa Harleys
a '53 or '54 Packard - I may have to inquire
The guy with the field of old Chevys seems to have disposed of half of them
An early '50s International pickup as lawn/field art
A Ford 3000 tractor for sale
A rattletrap '59 Chevy - looks rough
The late '30s Chevy one-ton has moved somewhere else - missed it

There's a hot rod meet in mid-June that brings them outta the woodwork.

A patriotic breakfast. Blueberry strawberries, and oatmeal.
I love oatmeal.... brown sugar and a little milk... with a side of bacon
My dad was raised on oatmeal. Tried to get us kids to eat it. Had some success with a few of them, but not me. I've never liked the texture, but would eat granola bars. But now? Regular and gluten-free oatmeal both make my tummy hurt, but oat milk seems fine. Not sure if it's the avenin protein or the insoluble fiber. Then again, maybe I just need to stop trying to apply logic to food intolerances.
My new jelly cabinet 40$. Not perfect but I love it
🥰🥰🥰 Beautiful!! And functional... sweet!
Long recovery for both of these procedures. It’s going to be a busy summer…and she’s still facing the hysterectomy come Aug
🫂🫂🫂 Long summer for you both. I hope her pain resolves soon and she recovers well for the next leg. Make sure to take the time for self-care, too, HDH. You're no good to mom if you're running on fumes.
Well, the cabana boy has been busy today.
What's your hourly rate? Asking for a friend

Sounds like he may be a motivated seller... chance for a deal???

I’m not a Chevy guy, but that sounds fun. I especially like the early 50s international pick up/lawn art

My new jelly cabinet 40$. Not perfect but I love it... gonna be my pantry/ storage and old pantry is gonna be storage for broom mop vacuum and laundry stuff like the iron large bottles of laundry stuff....

My house is short on storage...

Then where vacuum is by front door will strictly be for coats and shoes so they are not piled by my front door ...

Haven't decided what will go on wall on top of cabinet... just leaned stuff to get a feel for it

It also needs a good cleaning and maybe a wipe down with wood restore
That’s gorgeous k.

Good get!!

It was good to spend some time with the large poodles, and Daisy the huge Lab girl, and Fred the (former) barn cat. Fred bit me and clawed me. Goats are good, chickens are good, ducks are good, outside cats are good. This pair isn't very social. No matter. Machines are put away. Packing has kinda commenced.

Dipshits have fireworks. Poodles great and small aren't fans.

I'm hit the rack then . . . .

Chevy’s in a field. Used to be a (now retired) Piedmont pilot out in our neck of the woods. He had these open shed type things where he parked his mid 60’s - 70’s Chevy’s in. Around 8-10 if I remember. Mostly Chevelle’s and Impala’s, a couple were SS, a couple other ragtops. Don’t remember any Vette’s or Camaro’s but they all had one thing in common…a Piedmont Speed Bird on the front license plate!

The dog is reacting somewhat responsibly...... Karen is clueless

60's chevys are my wheelhouse..... 66 Chevelle is one of the best designs in my mind ever.

I prefer the 55 to the 57 Chevrolet. I like the everyday driver designs that Chevy went for.

The Lincoln Zephyrs and Chrysler Airflow of the late 30s are some of the best styles ( any mnfr ) ever IMO.

Hello @riverj
I think you may be new to this particular thread?
So let me roll out the standard welcome here at the café

We run this thread a little differently.

Read the first post...goes over the "rules" so to speak.

I will summarize:
1. No religion
2. No politics
3. No drama
4. No hitting on the women-- dm the person if interested.... if they don't respond.... there is your answer.
5. For God sake read a profile before you dm the wrong person.
6. If your first post is heavy on the innuendo ..... you need to slow your roll

This thread is like the bar cheers or the corner coffee shop. We are FRIENDS here and not like other threads...we are fiercely protective of the vibe and each other. If this sounds like a place you would like, stick around.... if not there are eleventy billion other threads that will suit your needs.

To get an idea of the vibe I would scroll through the last 10 pages or so and you will see.

Thanks

From what I've seen so far, it seems like a good fit. Hope you like it and stick around.
