I was a member of the 3:19 AM club. But I actually did fall asleep again from 5 to 6.

Off to meetings in a little bit and then a long drive home.

I’m gonna have the missus start the charcoal chimney about 20 minutes before I get home and I’ve been marinating some pork chops since the weekend!

And maybe jump in the pool!

This was the smoke from the fires in 2023. I never experienced smoke like this. It was a perfectly cloudless day, it was just orange and eerie.

I was monitoring local web cams, and some of the views were completely blocked out! It was like a thick morning fog all day long. I've seen some smoke here before, but nothing like yesterday. Much better today, although the AQI number is still around 170.

Off to get done what needs doing. Have a good morning all!

He bought his from Tennessee (he found it through Hemmings Motor News magazine) because he likes cubic inches and noise. Also, he didn’t want a 4-4-2 because they are too mainstream, so he went for something different and ended up on the paying end of a 1975 Delta 88, one of a few hundred produced.

I double mask for so many triggers. Carried some extra disposable filters for the mask pocket today, too. I like to breathe.

Thank you for your thoughts and concern. Yes, I recall that year when the Western US, most of Canada, and almost all of Australia were all burning concurrently. Hope this year is easier for all Aussies

Well, 31 yrs ago today, I walked the plank…er…the Isle. Going to make breakfast for SWhoMBO, cut some flowers…OK, buy some flowers.

I remember embers from the us western fires falling in Minneapolis in the 1990s, but not any since. That was really weird.
