Same here, except for some of the big cities where they talk folk slang.

I guess since I live here, I don't notice as much. But you're right. I have family in New Hampshire (NE USA) and I'm in Ohio (Eastern/Central states). New Hampshire peeps have a country accent and I have a big city accent (I was originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania)

I first considered regional accents when i saw this old house for the first time. Norm has such a unique accents it puzzled me until someone explained the myriad of unique flavors of English present in the US. Gotta love it

My dad was a Scotsman, I didn't want to get him mad...I couldn't understand him. Mom was Welsh...it was still English

Its funny to think if i went to australia i would be the one with the accent... also does anyone think an american accent os sexy?
