The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

Good morning Lillianna, yes I was up and getting ready for work. At the office and it is now 7:21am. We worked till 8pm last night.

It is another beautiful morning and little overcast but no rain expected.

I know what you mean. I have in 25 hours in two daze.

Something has to give.

As long as I aren't it . . . .

Yes, exactly, follow the trail.
I investigate corrupt government officials, extortion cases, mostly sexual extortion, large scale and high value fraud cases etc.
I have a knack in tracing the offenders and following the money.

My brother does insurance fraud investigations. Apparently, he's pretty good at it, too.

Nice, I used to be in insurance fraud so we will have lots to talk about. I investigated what we called "walking dead " cases, fraudulent death claims and fraudulent funeral claims.

His was/is property and casualty mostly. Scams on fraud claims, a ring of clergy students faking car wrecks and damage stuff - he was on the witness stand for a couple of days on that one - a guy who shipped his car back to Rumania and reported it stolen, all kinds of stuff. My favorite was the video poker mogul who built a huge house and then burned it down. And another one where they blew the house up.

Fun times . . . .

Hahaha...that sounds like fun investigations.

Meanwhile, my line had yesterday's fucking plumbing leak. There is a supply pipe called CPVC. After it is over 20 years old, it gets brittle. It's a maintenance man's nightmare. Touch a line to turn off a toilet valve and have it sometimes, without warning, pop loose in the wall and then you have a half-inch (12mm) line spewing forth. Anyway, we have that pipe in this 48-unit apartment/flat rehab. Did the first 3 units Monday. The downstairs kitchen cold water supply popped a'loose 24 hours later. The only good part is, she's in the hospital so she isn't home for this "experience."

Story is, if she were home, it wouldn't have been her first rodeo.

Good luck with all that.
We used to have asbestos pipes then replaced it with PVC pipes. It's still holding strong. No troubles....yet.

The PVC waste lines seem to be fine and have long-tern utility. The CPVC supply lines, not so much. PVC cannot be used for domestic water because it will not support hot water temperatures.

I wonder how long before the newfangled Pex shit starts giving trouble.

I guess you already have a log splitter.
Yeah. But it took me a while. I used to have a farm hand who was built like a 55 gallon drum. He loved splitting wood with an ax, a maul, a wedge and a sledge.

He was good at splitting it, just not good at stacking it! 😂

But once I got a log splitter, it was a whole different ball game. If I can get the health insurance thing right I could see myself doing farm work full-time. I still got a few more years to go I think.
