The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

I’m doing PT for my hip and glute tendons. And my PT keeps trying to add on stuff. Last week we added a stretch which twisted the back muscles. I was in pain for 2 days. Today he suggested another stretch and it also twists my back muscles. This time I said no and he looked puzzled. I said remember that last time? Then he got it.

I may ask for a different PT. The women seem more sensitive. One helped with the back pain last week.
That sucks. I would concur, find a new PT.

Well that was a really busy weekend. I spent two days at the Scottish Gamefair st Scone Palsce. I had a day on the Pass It On Young Sports stand helping my pal. Again we were trying to develop opportunities for children to get out into the countryside.

Then another day just pottering and speaking with people and enjoying "Me Time". It was good to catch up with a few people I know and make contacts with some I didn't. That included a reception invitation to hear about the value of shooting. Interestingly this included health and ecological/carbon credits.
Sounds like a great weekend!

After spending Friday and Saturday partying, I was tired yesterday! I ended up taking a long nap then having a hard time getting to sleep last night. 🙄😤

My housekeeper was supposed to come today. She texted me she was at urgent care with the flu. Turns out she has Covid! 😱😱 I'm keeping an eye on her remotely and very thankful she decided to go to UC before my house!

The guy I hired to fix my watering system dropped a bomb on me today. Despite my repeated requests, he never gave me a bid for the project in writing. We agreed on a price, shook on it, and he (intermittently) went to work. Today, he told me it was going to be $1800 MORE than he originally quoted me.

I. Was. LIVID!!!! 😤🤬

I hate when someone tries to pull that crap on me. We ended up having a conversation about it. Admittedly, he did do a lot more work than I believe he (or I) thought he was going to have to do. He dug up and replaced piping and all the valves. However, I told him today he should have communicated with me. He is going to bring me a detailed invoice at some point. Then, I imagine there will be some negotiations.

I do believe people should be paid for their work but I also believe in clear communication. I did not bid the job out. I chose him because my neighbor said he did a good job for her. I had originally asked him to fix my pond/waterfall but I think I'm going to get some bids for it.

I didn't get enough sleep last night. Tomorrow is a gym day so I better get enough tonight. I already made my trainer some energy balls. I also still have Black Forest cheesecake bars in the freezer. She will get some of those, too!
Some contractors are awesome! Some are not. 😡😤🤬

Hopefully you’re asleep is good and that you’ll have a good workout day!

Spoke with her yesterday and she felt better. She and her doc agreed she could come in for her checkup next week so all good signs. Pacemakers are pretty invasive procedures it turns out. I’m on the way home today so will have a much better feel for what’s going on…even though I’ve talked to her everyday.

Heading out to jump on the Big Ol’ Jet Airliner…talk later. More desert MZ——-though I can’t take credit for these shots!

Safe travels and get back home to Mom.

I have at times explained to contractors a deal is a deal and the quote is all there will be. I do recall I once regretted it a bit because we did run into some unseen damage on a roof but I only paid the price we agreed on and then later he wouldn't do work for me.
