i will probably get shot for this statement but i actually want france to win the world cup for one sole reason half the players play for the gunners and im a gunner by heart

but i will admit it was nice to see the underdogs win today especially being the opening match. gives all teams hope and therefore increasing the standard of the games we will watch

*reminiscing the past few years* We lost 5:0 vs Israel, 9:1 vs Spain, 5:0 vs Turkey, 1:0 vs the Faroer Islands and only won 2:0 vs San Marino

That one is easy their qualifying bracket was actually quite weak. Outside of that pure luck. Although the US is getting better they still aren't up to the European teams quite yet.
