DHS memo reveals security forces deployed to Portland lacked proper training: New York Times

Federal agents deployed to Portland have been derided as “Secret Police” and “Storm Troopers” for snatching up protesters off the street, along with gassing and firing impact mutations at those petitioning their government to end unjust policing.

A new memo obtained by The New York Times reveals the deployments are expected in other U.S. cities — and that the agents involved are not trained for the task.

Not only did the Drumpinfuror send in his Gestopo, he didn't even train them to be proper jackboots!!!!!

What fresh Hell, indeed!

‘Give a direct answer’: Chris Wallace grills Trump for suggesting he won’t accept election results

President Donald Trump suggested that he may not accept the results of the 2020 election because he’s not a “good loser.”

In an interview that aired on Sunday, Chris Wallace asked the president if he is a “good loser.”

“I’m not a good loser,” Trump replied. “I don’t like to lose. I don’t lose too often.”

“So, are you gracious?” Wallace pressed.

“You don’t know until you see, it depends,” Trump insisted. “I think mail-in voting is going to rig the election.”

“Are you suggesting that you might not accept the results of the election?” Wallace wondered.

“I have to see,” Trump remarked.

“Can you give a direct answer?” Wallace asked again.

“I have to see! Look, no, I’m not going to just say yes,” Trump complained.

In one of the first Major League Baseball games since sports shut down after the novel coronavirus outbreak, San Francisco Giants Manager Gabe Kapler and several players and staff took a knee during the national anthem, drawing a quick response from { Demon}.

“Looking forward to live sports,” { Demon} tweeted Tuesday morning, “but any time I witness a player kneeling during the National Anthem, a sign of great disrespect for our Country and our Flag, the game is over for me!

Is he talking about not watch ball any more, or is he having a premonition of November 4th?

Trump’s unpaid security bills are finally catching up with him as Florida sheriff reveals he can’t secure RNC convention

Republicans have one month to pull off their convention in Florida, where the coronavirus has gotten so bad that some municipalities are starting to talk about shutting down again.

Politico reported Monday that the sheriff of Jacksonville, Florida is in a particularly difficult spot as the convention day approaches. He explained that the “lack of clear plans, adequate funding and enough law enforcement officers” means he can no longer provide security for the event.

Yep, Trump has left lots of unpaid bills from rally venues. They should just start asking for the money up front and saying no if it doesn't appear. It's just good business and Trump is a known deadbeat.

Trump has handed Democrats a massive gift – and it could undermine his entire party: conservative columnist

According to Washington Post columnist Jennifer Rubin, President Trump is “wildly out of step” with the American public when it comes to vote-by-mail.

“Like demanding children return to schools even in the midst of a coronavirus surge, Trump is at odds with actual voters and their state leaders” on the subject, Rubin writes.

“Pew Research released a poll Monday showing nearly two-thirds (65 percent) of Americans favor early voting or absentee voting for ‘any voter without requiring a documented reason, while a third say early and absentee voting should only be allowed with a reason,'” Rubin continues. “Even 44 percent of Republicans and Republican-leaners — despite a steady diet of anti-absentee voting messages from their party’s leaders — remain in favor of no-excuse voting early or by absentee, along with 83 percent of Democrats or Democratic-leaners.”

Skewered through and through by a right wing extremist rag:

Given this, today's appalling aside at Trump's press briefing instilled absolutely no confidence in his ability and willingness to lay down the law against the accused pedophiles and sex traffickers.

In an otherwise excellent briefing, Trump took a swing and a miss at the question of the scope of the Maxwell investigation.

"I haven't really been following it too much," Trump said of a person accused by dozens of women of raping them as children and trafficking them for her famous friends. "I just wish her well, frankly. I've met her numerous times over the years, especially since I lived in Palm Beach, and I guess they lived in Palm Beach. But I wish her well. Whatever it is. I don't know the situation with Prince Andrew, just don't know; not aware of it."

Consider, Trump is willing to accuse his former best bud on television of murder without a shred of evidence, but he wishes the most notorious (accused) sex trafficker and pedophile on the planet "well." It's an unforced error of the highest proportions, one that will inevitably distract but a crucial pivot in tone on handling the novel coronavirus and one that baits both the president's hater and the coalition of his QAnon-believing supporters into wondering why Trump would issue such flatteries toward the ammo-armed Maxwell unless he had something to hide.

Of course, Occam's Razor and simple evidence tells us that Trump said what he said because, well, the president just says stuff, and because Maxwell has never uttered a bad word about him, his default is not to attack her. But that doesn't change the fact that it makes Trump look either suspect or utterly ignorant of the magnitude of the Maxwell investigation.

But never one to pass up the opportunity to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory, Trump had to publicize an epic brain fart on national television, inviting yet another news cycle questioning not only his culpability in a past life of partying and womanizing but his sheer competence as the unitary leader of the executive branch.

NEW: Trump just cancelled the Republican National Convention in Jacksonville

Fuck the propaganda. The Trump administration painted the whole
Trump operation over, in nanotube black paint, because the American
public is not allowed to witness anything important, directly. Thank
goodness, there is an "Achilles" spot they forgot to cover.

23 July 2020

Donald Trump announced that the Republican National Convention in Jacksonville
is canceled. The move comes after Trump shifted the venue to Jacksonville from
Charlotte after North Carolina’s governor expressed concerns about hosting a full-
scale convention amid the pandemic.

AP reporter reveals why scaled-down GOP convention is so ‘devastating’ to Trump’s campaign

“There is widespread alarm,” Lemire said. “It’s not that early anymore, because of early voting beginning in a few weeks. We are now in the middle of the summer. The efforts to expand the map are all but gone. The New Mexicos, Minnesotas — it’s not going to happen to expand the states, so they’re facing deficits they have to win. Michigan has been on the verge of being gone for a while, Pennsylvania, we were surprised the polls didn’t have Joe Biden up more, particularly considering the strength around Scranton and that area — he’s from Scranton, it’s been discussed.”

Polls show Biden ahead in Florida, as well, and Lemire said the loss of a big public event in Jacksonville deals a major blow to the president’s re-election.

“There’s no path without Florida,” Lemire said. “He’s not re-elected if he doesn’t win Florida.
That’s why partially canceling the convention was so devastating to the president. Yes, he had to bow to pressure. In many ways, it was inevitable. There’s surges of cases in the state, and also a real reluctance of donors and Republican senators to go. A number of Republican senators had said they wouldn’t attend, they were having trouble raising money, getting guests committing to stay for a few days.

DHS threatens Netflix filmmakers to keep damning footage from airing before the election: report

On Thursday, The New York Times reported that a pair of Netflix filmmakers shooting a behind-the-scenes documentary about President Donald Trump’s immigration policy were threatened by federal officials, ordered to delete footage unflattering to Immigration and Customs Enforcement Officers, and told to delay release of the documentary until after the 2020 election.

Your jackbooted Nazis at work!
