White House indecision on lawyers proves they’re ‘woefully unprepared’ for impeachment: ex-Clinton adviser

White House indecision on lawyers proves they’re ‘woefully unprepared’ for impeachment: ex-Clinton adviser

On CNN Saturday, former Clinton White House adviser Guy Smith — who saw the last presidential impeachment up close — discussed the problems with the Trump White House’s strategy for protecting the president.

“Let’s start with the question of the moment, and that is whether or not the president should have his own attorneys participate in what’s coming next?” said anchor Martin Savidge.

“Well, as you and I have talked before, the White House is woefully unprepared to deal with this, and this is another example,” said Smith. “Since the Intelligence Committee hearings ended more than a week ago, every single day, one of the other White House and Republican excuses has been taken away. And now he’s saying, well, we can’t have lawyers. Well, now they are invited to have lawyers, to actually have their own witnesses, to cross-examine witnesses, and to not do that puts themselves more at a disadvantage, and we know that they don’t have a very good story, but if they don’t have their lawyers defending them at all, they are going to be in even worse shape.”

After the last three weeks, Trumpikins is flustered. His bullshit keeps getting called "Bullshit!" His lawyers keep getting run over by buses and his own staff is leaking like cows with bladder problems.

Not only is he being impeached, but "Ball Licker Bill" is in danger of the same! Rudy is being investigated, as Donnie "Hardly Knew Him."

How can you hire a lawyer if you have a reputation of being a poor credit risk?

During a quiet holiday week, new evidence of Trump’s financial crimes emerge

This was a pleasantly slow holiday week in America, but rarely do seven whole days go by without some new allegations of crimes by the Trump Crime Family.

On Wednesday, ProPublica reported that an analysis of Trump Organization tax and loan documents revealed a gap between the financial information Trump’s company reported to lenders when seeking massive loans on Trump’s signature Manhattan property and the numbers they handed over to the government when tax-time came around. “The findings,” wrote Heather Vogell, “add a third major Trump property to two for which ProPublica revealed similar discrepancies last month.”

Will Donnie find it hard to avoid prison after he is Impeached and convicted?

Odds makers say, "YES, YES He WILL!":D

Time will tell

It will be pretty funny to look back at all this Trump bashing in the future.

what? you've never seen a puffy dead white constipated white man before?

I guess he doesn't know federal statutes any better than Trump does. The federal Flag Code, 4 U.S. Code § 8, which outlines etiquette for Old Glory. reads explicitly, "the flag should never be used as wearing apparel, bedding, or drapery."

What do you imagine history textbooks will look like after Betsy DeVos is finished with them?

Wonder how Betsy's descendants will like having her name after the textbooks are finished with her.

Trump’s latest defense is that impeachment hearings should not occur while he’s out of town

While on vacation at Mar-a-Lago, President Donald Trump attacked Democrats for the impeachment inquiry into his solicitation of foreign election assistance.

“I will be representing our Country in London at NATO, while the Democrats are holding the most ridiculous Impeachment hearings in history,” Trump argued

“Read the Transcripts, NOTHING was done or said wrong,” Trump argued, despite the fact the transcript revealed him soliciting foreign election assistance in violation of federal law.

"I'd like you to do us a favour," don't come back!:)

‘Malicious, stupid and destructive’: Donald Trump doesn’t understand the damage he’s causing to the military

Trump has no idea what he’s dealing with in the military. The population on an average army post, say, isn’t like the population of the civilian town just outside the gates. To begin with, everyone on the army post is a trained killer. It doesn’t matter if a soldier is a front-line infantryman or a clerk in the division finance office or a wrench-twister in a motor pool or an information technology specialist or a quartermaster handing out olive drab underwear. Every single one of them went through basic training and qualified on a modern military rifle like the M-4, and many of them qualified on more weapons, like the 9mm pistol or the M-240 machine gun or the M-2 .50-caliber machine gun or the 81mm mortar.

The problem faced by military commanders has always been the same: to harness the aggression and killing skills of soldiers while maintaining what they call “good order and discipline.” It’s not easy. The primary way this is accomplished is with training. Training hones soldiers’ skills while instilling in them an instinct to follow orders and maintain discipline. It also builds esprit de corps and what they call “unit cohesion.”

Next time the PeeResident needs Seal Teams, he may find them reluctant to follow the Orders of Cadet Bonespurs!

‘Everything Trump Touches Dies’: Alabama Crimson Tide ridiculed for being ‘cursed’ by the president after another loss

The Alabama Crimson Tide lost to the Iron Bowl Auburn Tigers on Saturday.

The loss came three weeks after Alabama fans cheered President Donald Trump — and lost their first home game in four years to Lousiana State University.

Trump was blamed for jinxing the Crimson Tide after the loss to LSU — and was once again ridiculed after Alabama’s second loss.

One popular joke was that “Everything Trump Touches Dies” — often abbreviated as #ETTD online — which came from the title of a best-selling book by conservative political strategist Rick Wilson.

Oh touch Stephen next Please, Please, Oh Please!:)

Straighten me out on the firing of Newsweek reporter
He gets fooled by White House misinformation about what Trump was up to this week, but after Trump gets back he does everything the reporter wrote?
It only cost us TWO flights to Afghanistan to pull off Trump’s secrete trip?
WTF!! ?? Two flights !! He couldn’t wait for first plane to refuel or was that story fucked up?

“Around midnight on Thanksgiving, Trump once again boarded Air Force One ready to head back to Florida. He landed briefly at an Air Force base in Germany, where the plane often refuels. But this time, instead of spending two hours refueling, the identical Air Force One — the decoy that had been parked at Palm Beach International Airport — was flown in to take Trump immediately home.“

So... his 2 hours of golf time saved cost us a round trip AF 1 flight to Germany? One way.., without potus ?

Donald Trump Is 'Blackmailing' Lindsey Graham, Author Claims
Inquisitr | Sun Dec 01, 2019 16:23 UTC

Donald Trump is "blackmailing" South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham , a political author claims. Don Winslow, a best selling author of historical nonfiction and mystery novels, wrote on Twitter that sources in the Department of Justice confirmed

That's fine--and typical of Trump. It certainly shows how well he handles people.

The question is whether Graham will stop sniveling and brown nosing now for results anyone could have pointed out he would get for selling himself out.

Trump thinks he can get away with murder because police do all the time

When Donald Trump declared that he wanted not only Ukraine but also China to investigate Joe Biden on October 4, all hell broke loose. A political class jaded by daily White House provocations was roused by this brazenly authoritarian call for international assistance in bringing down the president’s top-polling opponent, and the impeachment drive suddenly kicked into high gear.

That same night, Joshua Brown, an African American man who had recently helped win a rare murder conviction against a police officer, was murdered in the parking lot of his Dallas apartment building. Dallas police officials claimed that Brown’s death was unrelated to his witness testimony against their officer Amber Guyger, and that what actually happened was that Brown was selling marijuana in his parking lot — days after his name and face had been all over the news — and was killed by three other Black men in a drug deal gone wrong.

It’s past time Congress reined in the president’s emergency powers

The full Senate could soon consider legislation that would rein in the president’s emergency powers and bolster the principle of separation of powers that underpins American democracy. This legislation, the ARTICLE ONE Act as amended by a Senate committee, contains sensible reforms of the National Emergencies Act of 1976 (NEA), the flawed and outdated law that governs the emergency declaration process.

Most notably, the bill would revise the current emergency renewal framework so that a national emergency would automatically expire after an initial 30-day time window.

Good, maybe?

Trump has surrounded himself with ‘failsons’ starting with ‘dimwitted’ Don Trump Jr. and Kushner: columnist

In a biting piece for the Daily Beast, acerbic columnist Molly Jong-Fast accuses Donald Trump of stocking his administrations with “failsons” — which she described as “a son of wealth and privilege who is equal parts incompetence, stupidity, and arrogance” — because in many ways they are a reflection of his own career.

Using reports of conservative groups making bulk purchase of Don Trump’s Jr’s book “Triggered” to boost it on the best sellers list, Jong-Fast pounced on the president’s namesake to make her case.

“One is not born a failson. Nor does one simply inherit the status of failson. No—failson status is earned through a display of equal parts incompetence, stupidity, and arrogance. And until his book, no person in America—or maybe even the world, so bursting at the seams with louche heirs and dissolute royals with no throne to sit their pampered arses on—illustrated all the facets of a failson better than Junior,” she wrote.

Well... Donald is the first generation failson, but Jr is keeping up the tradition!:D

‘Who is obstructing?’ Fox panel shouts down Jason Chaffetz after he calls Trump the ‘victim’ of impeachment

Former Republican Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-UT) argued on Sunday that President Donald Trump is the “victim” of an impeachment investigation.

During a panel discussion about impeachment on FOX News Sunday, National Review editor Rich Lowry observed that Democrats “have to impeach” at this point.

Lowry, however, complained that Democratic lawmakers have refused to wait on court battles to decide whether Trump’s advisers can testify.

“Who is obstructing?” Williams interrupted. “Why who is keeping [White House acting Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney] from testifying?”

Trumpski's Fox Friends are melting away.

"FOX in Disarray!"

:D:D:D:D:D

‘Look who’s afraid of impeachment’: Internet ridicules Trump for pretending he wants to participate in hearings

President Donald Trump’s White House counsel announced Sunday that Trump will not participate in the Judiciary Committee hearings on impeachment Wednesday. Trump has complained for weeks that the process is illegitimate because he can’t participate, yet when given the opportunity to have what he wants, he prefers to complain instead.

Grumpy Trumpy refuses to participate if he can't call the game.

Poor little Grumpy.

World leaders will avoid Trump at NATO meeting because they have seen the ‘damage he has done’:

An MSNBC panel on Sunday morning dug into Donald Trump’s visit to the UK, scheduled to begin on Monday, saying all indications are that NATO leaders — including British Prime Minister Boris Johnson — are not looking forward to being seen with the U.S. president due to the risk of damaging their own reputations.

Speaking with host David Gura, former White House aide Ned Price said Johnson’s biggest worry is keeping Trump from saying anything untoward during his visit — including endorsing him before an election scheduled for December 12.

“I think what Prime Minister Johnson will be focused on, first and foremost, is keeping President Trump on script,” he continued. “And by on script, that probably means not offering an endorsement or kind words for Boris Johnson himself. There’s nothing that probably frightens the prime minister more than kind words from President Trump about 10 days before a general election in the U.K.”

A Trumpian endorsement is the Kiss of Death, ask Alabama. #ETTD :D

Trump’s desperate plan to woo white suburban women: Unleash Mike Pence

President Donald Trump is facing an uphill struggle to win over suburban swing voters, which is why his campaign is relying on Vice President Mike Pence to hold down the fort.

Politico reports that the president’s campaign knows that “Trump’s personality is a liability” with many suburban women, so it’s deploying Pence to help win them over.

Pence may be just unpleasantly sanctimonious, but Trump is loathsome!:D
