The 121st Week of Brokeahontas

‘Ignoramus’ Trump scorched for still not understanding how tariffs work after ‘enormous’ losses

In a blunt-talking column for the Washington Post, conservative columnist Jennifer Rubin marveled at the fact that President Donald Trump still doesn’t understand how tariffs hurt American consumers and businesses as the stock market reels, America farmers face bankruptcy and consumers see their pocketbooks hit with higher prices.

In short, Rubin called the leader of the free world an “ignoramus.”

Rubin the quotes former jobs “czar” Steve Ratner, who explained. “If Mr. Trump goes ahead with his threat to extend the 25% tariffs to all imports from China, the cost per family would rise to $2,294 per year. And as with any other tax increase, adding tariffs will slow the American economy and result in lost jobs — 900,000 from what Mr. Trump has already done and potentially, a total of 2.2 million if the levies are extended to all imports from China.”

Perhaps the term is more properly "Fucking Moron," eh?:D

‘Traitor’ Lindsey Graham targeted by massive #LindseyGrahamResign movement after GOP senator defends Trump family again

Within hours of the Democratic Coalition asking Twitter users to use #LindseyGrahamResign in tweets, calls for the South Carolina Republican senator to step down became the top trend on the social media platform.

Graham — a former military Judge Advocate General — has been under fire for advising Donald Trump Jr. to ignore a Congressional subpoena, which has led many to accuse the senator of advocating breaking the law.

As one Twitter user put it, “Lindsey’s moral compass was buried with John McCain. “

To be fair to Ms Lindsey, it's only a little law.

:D

At least she has plans and not ignorant bullshit slathered with bile.

Whereas, Brokeahontus has unbelievable unrefined bullshit that seldom achieves the ends he espouses.

But good characterization of the shallowness of the RWNJ frenzy.:D

It’s hard to believe how ignorant people can be of Native American culture. Did you just get here?

Oh FFS!!!

STOP USING MATOAKA AS A FUCKING PUNCH LINE!
Did you know she was kidnapped and raped?
Did you know she had one of her children killed?
Did you know at the time of the John Smith lie, she was like 11?

No, of course not! Because that would mean you'd have to talk with actual Native Americans!!!

Attorney General Bill Barr asked Pelosi if she ‘brought her handcuffs’ to gathering

That contempt vote now moves to the full House for a vote.

When Barr encountered Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) Wednesday at a law enforcement ceremony, he asked her if she “brought your handcuffs.”

According to New York Times Congressional reporter Nicholas Fandos’ interview with a bystander, Pelosi smiled and told Barr that the Sergeant at Arms was there should an arrest be needed. Barr laughed and walked away.

:D

Nadler fires back at the White House for treating Trump like a king as they attempt to thwart investigations

In a letter, White House Counsel Pat Cipollone declined a request from Nadler to turn over documents regarding the probe claiming that Nadler was seeking to harass the president.

“It appears that the Committee’s inquiry is designed, not to further a legitimate legislative purpose, but rather to conduct a pseudo law enforcement investigation on matters that were already the subject of the Special Counsel’s long-running investigation and are outside the constitutional authority of the legislative branch,” Cipollone wrote in the letter.

During an interview with CNN’s Manu Raju, Nadler scrutinized the White House for treating Trump like a king.

“This is the White House claiming that the president is a king. This is the White House saying that the Justice Department said they can’t hold the president accountable because you can’t indict a president and now they’re saying neither can Congress. So the president is totally unaccountable and above the law. No president, no person in the United States is above the law. This is preposterous,” he said.

While Demonrats talk, a lot about the Law, the take very little action to make use of it. :(

REVEALED: Chaos inside the White House and overseas as Trump administration pushes for war with Iran

In a detailed and revealing report Wednesday night, the Washington Post described the background chaos of the Trump administration’s apparent slide toward war with Iran.

President Donald Trump is “frustrated” as he perceives his aides — most notably National Security Adviser John Bolton — as pushing him into a conflict he’s not ready for, according to the report. Bolton is a longtime advocate of regime change in Iran and was a part of the George W. Bush administration’s push for the Iraq war, which is exactly the sort of quagmire and calamity Trump wants to avoid.
-
So, to review: The report finds that Trump is in conflict with his own aides, the U.S. is escalating tensions with Iran based on thin evidence, and European allies have no respect for or trust in the administration. In other words, it’s a recipe for utter disaster, failure, or both.

In other words, Typical Trumpski Disaster.

‘Spoken like a true fascist’: The internet reacts in fury to Trump threatening to jail investigators for ‘treason’

As the 121st Week of Don's debacle come crashing down, we se the intenet react, and Nancy being timid, again.

President Donald Trump reacted to a judge ordering the release of a Michael Flynn bombshell by demanding “long jail sentences” for investigators, which terrified many legal experts.

A federal judge on Thursday ordered the release of recordings of Flynn talking to the Russian ambassador before Trump’s inauguration, along with a recording of someone “connected to” Congress seeming to dangle a pardon before the former national security adviser.

Donald J. Trump

@realDonaldTrump

My Campaign for President was conclusively spied on. Nothing like this has ever happened in American Politics. A really bad situation. TREASON means long jail sentences, and this was TREASON!

Steve Mnuchin brazenly tells Congress that the administration refuses to comply with subpoena

Secretary of the Treasury Steven Mnuchin put in writing on Friday that President Donald Trump’s administration is refusing to comply with a subpoena for President Donald Trump’s tax returns.

Mnuchin argued that Attorney General Bill Barr has declared that the administration won’t abide by the law that requires the IRS to turn over Trump’s tax returns to House Ways and Means Committee Chair Richard Neal.

“In reliance on the advice of the Department of Justice, we have determined that the Committee’s request lacks a legitimate legislative purpose, and pursuant to section 6103, the Department is therefore not authorized to disclose the requested returns and return information,” Mnuchin claimed.

Now both Barr and Mnuchin can go to jail, a twofur! :)

Fox News legal analyst slams Trump’s actions as ‘dangerous’ — and says he has exceeded his powers 3 times in the last week

Fox News legal analyst Andrew Napolitano has been increasingly outspoken in opposing President Donald Trump on certain key issues. In a new video for Fox News on Friday, he continued his criticism of the president, arguing that he is violating the separation of powers.

Just in the last week, he said, Trump has exceeded the powers of the executive branch on at least three occasions.

He noted that over the course of decades, presidents have been seizing more power and Congress has been letting them. Trump is continuing this “very dangerous trend,” he said.

“Earlier this week, the president of the United States directed Patrick Shanahan, the acting secretary of Defense, not to purchase a missile defense system that Congress has authorized and directed him to purchase — and at the time of that authorization, President Trump agreed with it— but to take that money from the missile defense system and use it to build a fence at the Texas-Mexico border,” he said.

Napolitano said you can question building a fence as policy, “but he asked the Congress for the money, and the Congress said no. And he took the money anyway. That violates the separation of powers.”

Trump’s order to Shanahan to direct troops to secure the border likewise violated the separation of powers, Napolitano argued, because U.S. law prohibits using the military in this way. And the legal analyst also noted that Trump unilaterally raised taxes with his new tariffs on China. Despite Trump’s claims to the contrary, the tariffs raise prices for American consumers, thus placing a tax on them.

And Still Nancy disists.

Impeach, Convict, Execute!

This is all going to be interesting the next time the Democrats control both the White House and the Congress--and chances are that will be pretty soon.

Before or after Trumpski blows up the WORLD?

Instead of, I would hope. But if the American electorate is going to be as ignorant in 2020 as they (including you Bernie people) were in 2016, they deserve what they get.
