This section is geared more towards authors. In this category, please nominate the editor who helped you the most in 2009.

Editor must be an active Literotica member (meaning their account is still currently on Literotica – it has not been removed or cancelled) listed on the Volunteer Editors list during the year 2009.

One nomination per member, please. If multiple nominations are made by a member, only the first listed will count.

I want to nominate Kanga40. She has edited stories for me tirelessly, giving great advice and correcting my grammar / spelling issues. By tirelessly I mean to the point of re-editing my stories up to three times, checking my corrections too.

She is direct with criticisms and praise, letting you know where you can improve the story or your writing.

I want to nominate Driz Dart. He gave excellent advice and coached me through as I perfected my first piece of erotic fiction for publishing.

HoneyBree, she was the one who helped me get my writing spark back :D

michchick98 nomination

I nominate Michchick98 for Most Helpful Editor.

She never edited a story of mine but she was very helpful last year. I posted a few serious questions regarding last year's nominating process and voting, and some sarcastic and hopefully funny comments/questions. She posted a response, answering all my serious Qs which was very helpful, but unfortunately my sarcasm went over her head (or under her feet) and she added comments/answers to my sarcastic comments/questions as well. (I sent her a feedback explaining my sarcasms, but she didn't respond, which by the way I can no longer do, I mean, send feedbacks. The LIT computer thinks I'm sending spam whenever I try to send someone a feedback. I've sent a dozen emails to the LIT webmaster but to no avail). (Now there's a straight line for all you supposed wags here. I can hear the jokes now, saying his stories are posted spam!).

(Wait... now I'm wondering if she was being sarcastic by answering my sarcastic questions/comments. Mmmm... nah, I think they were serious responses.)

Anyway, I nominate Michchick98 for her response to my Qs last year, although I seem to recall she said individual stories could be nominated too. Guess what I did. I actually wrote down a few story titles I thought were pretty good this past year, and now... well... there are no nominations for individual stories! Maybe I'm recalling her posting incorrectly or maybe LIT changed the nominating process. No big deal.

Furthermore, Michchick98 should be nominated because I assume the “Mich” in Michchick means she lives in Michigan (No, I haven't looked at her bio page). I think anyone who lives in Michigan should get an award. For one thing, the employment situation. I bet if you count all the people getting unemployment benefits and add that to the people who have stopped looking for work (and get no benefits), the unemployment rate must be pushing 30%, let alone all the freakin' snow, plus the idiotic rivalry between UM and MSU (wish I had the pennants concession), and the “thumb” of the state, and the UPies (pronounced: you pees), and all the other nonsense one would have to put up with living there. Did you know the Wolverine State has no wolverines in it? Not even in the UP. And speaking of fauna (subheading: herpetology), did you know there's only one poisonous snake that resides in the state? It's the Northern Forest Rattle Snake (or called something like that, it's a stunted growth rattle snake) and it's extremely rare. I think there's 11 in the entire state, although Michiganders (No, women are NOT called Michigeese, or individually a Michigoose) believe the state is infested with copperheads, but those aren't copperheads, it's a snake that looks like a copperhead, unfortunately, I can't recall its name either.

Okay-okay... enough of this stream of consciousness/self-entertainment (train of thought? More like “train wreck of thought?”), and get back to being serious.

I seriously nominate Michchick98 for Most Helpful Editor.

I'm surprised no one has nominated Mistress Lynn. I would like to nominate here as best and most helpful editor. She has helped so many writers on Literotica. Ever since Lady Cibelle became ill and the death of Techsan, ( two of the more well known editors) Mistress Lynn has taken a number of writers under here wing.

If it wasn't for her I can honestly say that I would have stopped writing long ago. I'm an old guy and not the best writer but with Lynn's help, my stories are well received. She is great with grammer and punctuation; she will also make suggestions that may improve your story.

She makes the suggestions but uinderstands that the author has the last say. She is truly one of the best editors I have ever had the privelege of having edit my stories.

I'll second MistressLynn, a damn fine editor.

While she hasn't ever edited anything of mine, I can honestly say that she's always been helpful to me when I've had questions about editing and writing, so I'll toss out a nomination for MistressLynn as well.

Thank you MichChick. That's one of the nice things about Lynn. If anyone asks for help, she does what she can to help. That's another reason for 'Most Helpful Editor' she does her best to help other authors and editors. :)

I'll actually second this nomination. she's done a little editing for me and she is amazing and helpful!

Okay, you have a better memory than me. :) Thanks for the nomination. I didn't really think I was in the running this time around because I've only edited a few people (my regulars if you will) but I'll accept the nomination happily. It's an honor to be nominated along with the others who've been nominated. I feel as if I'm among greatness. Yeah, a bit of brown-nosing, but so what? It's just a nomination.

I'm amazed that with all the drama last year that Laurel was able to weed out the nominations in any category at all. Thankfully, the drama isn't so bad this year, at least not yet. And I'm trying my damndest to avoid it. :D I just make my nominations and wait for her to sort it all out.

Ooo-kay, well. That's more than I knew about Michigan and I live in the state! But actually, residents of the Upper Peninsula aren't called UPies (pronounced: you pees), they're called Yoopers. A minor thing, but I'd hate for one of them to be lurking here and wondering what the hell you're talking about. Yes, male and female residents of Michigan are called Michiganders, although I do like the Michigeese thing...LOL.

As for the rest, you lost me with the whole snake thing. I'm not fond of snakes.

By the way, has anyone ever done a story about a were-wolverine? Where's Daniellekitten? Maybe we can get her to do one! :D

A wonderful friend and exceptional editor/writer. My nomination goes to, MistressLynn

My choice

It is with great pride that I nominate psyche_b_mused as editor extraodinare. She is a fantastic editor that pushes an author way beyond what he thinks he is capable of writing. She not only does the grammar/punctuation bit but also asks the subtle questions that make a writer dig deeper into the emotions in the story to bring the characters to life. She is not well known on this site, but with time her talent at writing and editing will become recognized as some of Lit's best.

correction

A half hour later I realized my mistake. I should have remembered it's UPers (pronounced: you' purrs).

Put me down for MistressLynn as well.

I've got one blue W, and I wouldn't without the keen insight into that story.

Echoed the MistressLynn nomination.

Nobody comes close.

Thank you for the nominations. Your support means a lot to me.

i will nominate michik98.... well the poetry is absolut fabulouse.. toltally luv it....

Uh, thanks. But are you nominating me for Most Helpful Editor? I only wrote one poem, that was 3 years ago and it wasn't very good, as a matter of fact, it was probably the third worst poetry in the universe.

I'll add my nomination for mistresslynn as well, the only person I'll let touch any of my work.

I Nominate PennLady

PennLady is the best beta reader and editor. She is really good with giving great suggestions. She is not overbearing or pushes her own ideas into your stories. She is the best. Absolute Best. You can count on her. She is simply Amazing. I dont know if she is registered as a Editor but she has edited most of all my stories. Please also nominate PennLady.

I'd like to vote for Violent Intimacy, I love her stories, and she gave me brilliant advice, quick and useful help, and lots of confidence in myself! x
