A Grammy-winning R&B singer took $75K to sing for Trump — and then watched her fans desert her

During the contentious time following the 2016 presidential election, R&B singer Chrisette Michele thought she could “be a bridge” to unite the country by performing at Donald Trump’s inauguration.

She did not succeed in her goal.

Two years later, Michele reflected on her decision.

“People didn’t feel hopeful from that moment,” Michele said. “They didn’t feel represented in that moment. They felt misrepresented.”

“They felt further misunderstood, and they felt the person they were depending on to speak on their behalf just betrayed them,” she explained.

Dogs=Fleas Trumpski= KKK+GRU:D

Undeclared missile sites have been found in North Korea.

That will give Trump and Kim something to talk about.

Yes, of course. You only look anything up in Trumpette sources. Someday you'll wake up with no pants and Trump up your ass. :D

The NSA has traced debbiev’s IP address to Putin’s mistress’s apartment. :)

Stephen Miller has expanded his power in the White House ‘because there is no one else there

“Stephen Miller has become the singular voice on immigration in the White House. It does appear he has achieved the role he was blocked from by Steve Bannon, John Kelly and to an extent Jim Mattis. Now there is no one to block him,” Wendy Schiller, a political science professor at Brown University, explained.

“The anti-globalists are in the ascendant because there is no one else there,” Dan Cassino, an associate professor of political science at Fairleigh Dickinson University, told The Guardian.

“He likes the drama of it: a president taking a heroic stand on television. It influences him and might even make him dig in more. He does not want to turn on TV and read a chyron saying he’s conceded. Then there are crowds he spoke to in the campaign,” Zelizer told Smith. “He’s talked about this wall and boxed himself in. He hears those voices in his head and doesn’t want to give in.”

Dum, dum, dum, Duh!

Trump’s frustration with nobody funding his wall boils over in Twitter rant against Democrats and criminals

President Donald Trump seems to be growing in frustration as negotiations about his border wall continue to make little progress. The government shutdown has lasted nearly a month and is the longest shutdown in history.

On Monday, the president ranted on Twitter about how vital a wall is for American’s safety and called out the Democrats for not putting America first.

Trump recently set forth a proposal to reopen the government that still ask for billions for his border wall. However, this proposal is expected to fail in the Senate leaving negotiations in a stalemate.

If the current swirling bowel of Trumpski in Washington wasn't enough:

People close to President Trump have ‘grown exasperated’ with TV defense lawyer Rudy Giuliani: New York Times

Cliff-notes:
"Rudy! WTF?"

The bizarre rationalizations and clarifications by Rudy Giuliani are worrying people close to President Donald Trump, The New York Times reported Monday.

Giuliani attempted to walk back multiple claims he had made over the weekend about the timeline of the Trump Tower Moscow deal that could have netted hundreds of millions of dollars for the Trump family

Maybe Trump will start blaming Miller, and show him the door.

Oh you flaming optimist!

Steven is sucking up to Trumpski so hard as he gains POWER:eek: without the moderating hand of a sane person, that he will eventually become the PeeResideent's Brain.

And for debbiev to be an idiot about.

Keith...you claim i'm on ignore....but i bet you see this. You are a typical liberal, resorting to name calling. No facts, no substance and just straight out Trump derangement syndrome.

NPR reporter dishes on juiciest new White House revelations — including doddering Trump ‘wandering off’ during meetings

NPR senior editor Ron Elving read Cliff Sim’s new White House tell-all, Team of Vipers, and dished Tuesday with CNN’s Brooke Baldwin on some of the juicier revelations.

In one interaction with then-House Speaker Paul Ryan, Elving described President Donald Trump “wandering off” during a complicated discussion of tax reform.

“He literally gets up while Paul Ryan is in mid-description and wanders out of the Oval Office and down the hallway into a side room where one can hear the television being switched on,” Elving said, adding the “eventually” the vice-president had to go retrieve the easily distracted commander in chief.

MSNBC host tries to rein in Rick Wilson after suggestion Trump advisor Stephen Miller is mean because he’s sexually frustrated

President Donald Trump’s government shutdown resulted in an awkward situation on MSNBC’s “All In” with Chris Hayes on Tuesday when a guest speculated on Stephen Miller’s sexual history.

The anchor was joined by Republican strategist Rick Wilson slammed a purported border wall “compromise” offered by President Donald Trump.

“The guy’s just a dark and weird figure and he wrecks Trump’s idea that Trump is this master negotiator. “We have ‘The Shart of the Deal‘ every day, where this thing goes crazy and off the rails every time Trump speaks about it, it gets less likely he’s going to get what he wants,” Wilson concluded.

Dem strategist offers SOTU plan: Ban cameras and clear the gallery

President Donald Trump announced Wednesday that he will ignore his unvitation to deliver the customary State of the Union speech on January 29, telling Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi that he intends to push forward as had been planned before the government shutdown grew to unprecedented lengths.

Trump’s insistence on going where he is not welcome drew howls from the left, with many encouraging Pelosi to have her Sergeant at Arms physically bar the president from the floor of the House.

Democratic strategist Chris Hahn offered his own suggestion via Twitter Wednesday: Pelosi should allow Trump to deliver his speech to an empty Congress without any cameras present.

“Ban the media and all recording devices and clear the gallery,” he suggested. “And don’t show up to hear it.”

:)

No cameras, no gallery, no C-Span, would Trumpski give a speech that would not be Televised?

Michael Cohen postpones his congressional testimony after Trump threatens his family

Former Trump “fixer” Michael Cohen announced on Wednesday that he is postponing his planned congressional testimony while citing threats made against his family by President Donald Trump.

In a statement first reported by the New York Times’ Maggie Haberman, Cohen attorney Lanny Davis said that Cohen would postpone his testimony due to “ongoing threats” that Trump made against Cohen’s family “as recently as this weekend.”
Cohen’s intimidation claims may leave Trump exposed to another felony: MSNBC analyst

“Perhaps this will a subject of the long awaited report by special counsel Robert Mueller, whether this fits into the pattern of obstruction of justice that Mueller appears to be investigating.”

Giuliani’s ‘unacceptable’ actions could constitute witness tampering: CNN legal analyst

:D "Bob,add extortion to the list." :D:D:D:D

Mitch McConnell, Cave Man

Having largely sat out the government shutdown, which is now in its one millionth day, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has stepped up with a bold new plan to do virtually nothing: He's scheduled a vote Thursday on two different bills to reopen the government. Just a small problem: One includes funding for WALL and immigration provisions no Democrat will vote for, and the other is the same as a non-WALL stopgap funding measure passed by the House already, which may or may not get the 60 votes needed to proceed, but which Donald Trump has pledged to veto, lest Ann Coulter yell at him.

And just in case you hadn't noticed, McConnell has actually caved (NO CAVE!) from his prior position on the shutdown. He had until recently promised that he would absolutely not allow any vote ever on any bill to end the shutdown unless Trump supported it. But here's the Senate, about to take a vote tomorrow on just that. Does it mean the bilious old fucksnapper is likely to prove more flexible if more Republicans -- say, something close to a veto-proof majority -- break with the president because people are hurting? We have no illusions McConnell would ever act for the good of the country, but if he decides it's finally gotten bad enough for the GOP, he might yet cave further.

When will Mitch dump Trumpski and do what is best for his masters? When the TSA goes out on strike, when the Border Patrol is down to three unpaid volunteers, or when the pitchforks and torches are on the other side?

Perhaps more doable, when will the Senate Republicans dump Mitch and bring in new Senate leadership to separate themselves from Trump and do what they can to save their party chances in 2020?
