That's sick, sometimes this IVF goes way too far

Well, it was a donor egg and not her own....sure, it was fertilized by her brother's sperm, but at least it wasn't her egg.

Not much different then mother's being surrogates for their daughters....or vice versa.

edited because I re read and understood....

I dont see anything morally wrong with it...I guess...but we wont go into my beleifs on scientific breeding.

No, it clearly says that it was a donor egg that was fertilized by her brother's sperm and then implanted in her....not incest as far as I can tell.

I did not catch that part

I was skimming it pretty fast and didn't see that. Are we sure it wasn't her egg and not someone else’s? If it was someone else's egg (as long as it wasn't their mother's-lol) then I guess it’s not nearly as bad as I initially thought it was.

ok

Yeah, I think you are right..

Although the headline is clearly meant to mislead IMO it seems in order to shock the person into reading it.

From the story: "The menopausal woman was successfully implanted with a donor egg conceived by her brother's sperm after a previous attempt failed, and gave birth to a healthy baby."

She wanted a baby with some of her genetic background, and at the age of 51 her own eggs were likely not feasible.
