I'd rather have a president that is creative enough to make up new words than have a disbarred corrupt lawyer who ponders the meaning of what "is" is, and wags his finger in the face of the American people with that squinty lying look.

But at least he helped to defeat Gore. And in his eight long sad years lead the one of the most dramatic power change from left to right in American history.

but that's just my opinion.

Who says a monkey cannot be corrupt.

I highly suspect that the president is ethically corrupt. The only mitigating circumstance being that he's too dim-witted to even realise it.

Are we saying Bush is more "dim-witted" than Gore. Oh thats right, Gore did invent the internet and have Love Story written about him. What else did he do. I really don't think Bush is "dim-witted". You may not agree with what he stands for, I just don't find him stupid. He beat the democrats, I'd say thats pretty smart. On second hand, he beat Gore, perhaps I better rethink this.

WriterDom, is that the best you can come up with, you like Bush coz he's not Clinton? It's really getting old.

Got news for you, Clinton is not in power anymore. Get on with life.

You know your guy is a chump, it's OK, really.

And here I thought we were going to talk about that crap-ass show.

Oh, I see. So it's fine to continue to praise Caesar but not to bury him?

Chump or champ.

Time will tell.

It was nice that he had a chance. I still remember the Tommy and Dickey show on the first day saying they were willing to try and work with him as long as he would reach and try to work with them.

But by the second day, Hillary told them they better stop that shit and get back to obstruction.

She told them...

ambition should be made of sterner stuff!

AJ, could you please cite your source for the above posts. I am interested in where you got your information.

I'm not sure how to break this to you but Gore never said he invented the Internet.

Mouthing back Right wing BS doesn't make you a valid political commentator.

And beating the Democrats doesn't make one smart, a good person or even an above average Politician.

Reagan did it, Nixon did it,Bush did it.

Al Gore

"I took the initiative in creating the Internet."

yes, get your facts straight, he created it, he didn't invent it.

Which proves that 1 statement, taken out of context, can be used to prove something very different than what was really said.

Wow. You must have gone to a High School media class.

One statement?

lets see....

created the internet
Love story was written about him
Cleaned up Love Canal
Pays more for dear old grandma's medication than Fido's

Just to start.

History will Judge Bush and i welcome all to keep underestimating him.

Yes Reagan beat the dems but in case you meant that as an insult, don't forget that he created the strongest economy ever in this country (Something ole bill kept taking credit for). If you want to argue that point please list one policy of Clintonomics.

I see Toyman has met lavender.

This is the part where WriterDom or Andra_Jenny comes in to discuss blow jobs in the Oval Office.

Thanks for the Welcome Lavender

Wow what a response, (please keep em under 5 points next time I am a Bush Supporter)

I agree and disagree with many things you stated.

First yes we were constantly told how bad the economy was due to Reagan. But if you look at any economic chart you will see the greatest period of growth Ever starting with his Term. Yes there have been small set backs, such is the nature of economics.

You will also see a spike right at the point Republicans took control in 92 but that is another issue.

I will admit freely that reagan spent Big. That huge military spending also defeated the communist state of the USSR.

As far as social security is concerned that hasn't been right since it was created. Notice how Every election features it as an Issue?
no one has done a thing to fix it. So that is a mute point as far as I am concerned.

Now as far as Taxes go. NO nation in History has ever taxed itself into Prosperity, quite the opposite.

All in all I think Reagan will go down as a very succesful President Creating great prosperity especially looking at what he was left with, a huge recession and off the chart unemployment.

Asd far as balancing the budget I would put forth that Presidents do not render legislation Congress does. The budget was balanced by the Republican Congress, Bill signed the law, he also fought it everystep of the way. Remember the shutting down of the government? That was Bill saying no to balanced budgets. Once he had no choice he was first to the papers crowing about what "He" did.

Our system of checks and Balances works. No branch can Move alone. The budget was balanced by BOTH the congress and Bill.

We as citizens should step back and look at washington Not as Dems or Reps but as people and decide if we like what we see. The founding fathers wanted very little Governing done at the Federal level and now almost all of it is. None of it is very impressive to me.

No President is totally without problems or successes. Bush will be succesful or he won't, but don't dismiss him cause of how he speaks. That is foolish in anyones case. I would rather have poor grammer and good policy than vice versa.

Bill excelled at telling people how much he cared. They believed him, but I ask, where is he now? He isn't working in a charity or building houses for the Poor. He is off speaking and making Bill a lot richer.

That is very good thinking. I haven't thought of that. :D

I'm not original, but you get my point.

Gee, I must have missed something. Reagan's big defense spending defeated the commies, eh? Defeated? Defeated? I seem to recall the the USSR collapsed on its own, basically because communism is a crappy ass system. Funny how my US History book left out that we kicked their asses with all those weapons. I also seem to recall that we never put any of those weapons or potential weapons into good use. All they did was send us into a terrible recession because of the money that cost to make them.

Nope, it's liberals that bring up blow jobs while being silent about obstruction of justice and perjury. After all, he was married in name to Hillary, so I don't really blame him for looking elsewhere

I believe Reagan was instrumental in the collapse of the soviet empire due to the fact that the money on defense coupled with the technology advancements brought the Soviet Union down on its knees.

I can't believe this fact is disputed.

I remember being in elementary school and having nuclear drills because the threat of this was so great. A lot of people may disagree with what Reagan stood for, but on this he did an A plus super job.

How can you say that, when the American government had been spending so much money on developing weapons for the entire Cold War? Why didn't the USSR collapse years before it actually did?

I think we have Gorbachev to thank for the collapse of the USSR. His open policies (the Russian name of which I cannot remember) lead to the liberating of the country. And we all knew communism was on its way out anyway.

Also, just the massive confusion and disorganization that characterized the Soviet government prior to its collapse was a major cause. The opening of the Berlin Wall was an accident: it was simply miscommunication!

I seriously doubt the communists gave in because they were so terrified of Reagan that they were shaking in their boots. Hell, if we had left him in charge of the economy for another couple years, they might have decided not to collapse at all, because their economy would have been better than ours!

My source?
I have to dream this stuff up!
Just a compilation of what goes on.
I call it a Carville, or The Carvillization of America

Evrybody lies! Your mama lies! I lie! AJ lies! WHY AJ IS DA BIGGEST LIAH OWT DERE! He wants to make yo babies drink alcohol and use tobacco learn to talk mean and nasty to people. Hey, even Dennis Miller has bad days :)

Gorbachev was only instrumental due to Reagans influence and the US economy backing it up. Reagan was brilliant in handling this.

It really comes down to what you believe versus what I believe and the best thing I can say is to agree to disagree.
