That smell....

Everybody has that smell, scent or odor that does something for them, good or bad... What is yours?

One of my first real girlfriends as an adult wore the perfume Cool Water... 15 years later it still has the power to bring back strong memories... If a woman happens to walk by who is wearing it, my head will snap right up to see where the scent came from, haha.

I have lots of thoughts to post in this thread...

But for me, the most beautiful memory of smell was my dad...He was a school Principal and was always dressed so sharp and smelled so wonderful...always Vetivier...

I can smell him now as I think of how that hug felt too...Both so comforting...

Miss him so...:heart::heart:

How perfect.

My grandfather, who had a very strong influence on me growing up, always wore AquaVelva.... I don't even know if you can still buy that, but thinking of it now the memory of that scent is clear as day.

For me it's Old Spice. Worn y my dad and grandad.

Mothballs also bring back clear memories of a 100 year old farmhouse we lived in when I was eight. That was the best summer ever. Lemonade while we played under old English walnut trees, the color of the dust off the dirt road, getting lost in whispering corn fiekds, and a beagle puppy named Goofy.:heart::heart:

A throw away sentence that speaks volumes.

The first one still has a place in your heart then, with her scent still holding a key.

Freshly cut grass, waft of a distant bbq or curry house,

For me it's Jade East! My first real boyfriend wore it. Even now, some 50 years later I remember that simpler time and smile. I haven't some across anyone who wears it in years.

Jergens hand creme.. smells like sweet almonds
I can still remember my mom smelling her hands after she'd use it with this warm, contented smile.

Hawthorn. It was blossoming in the early 'illicit' days with my man more than twenty years ago and he seemed almost to smell of it. The scent of it now brings back instantly those feelings of yearning for resolution.

I didn't know it was hawthorn, though, and joked that it probably had a horrid name like 'bilgewort'. Which it has been every since.

The aroma of home made chili or navy beans simmering in the kitchen as those were always cooked by my father. I always smile whenever I cook them now or walk into a house where someone is cooking them. Its a nice sense of continuality.

My grandpa wore Olde Spice, and so do I; I have had people tell me that it is "my" smell:)

Real honeysuckle is my absolute favorite...I could stop and smell it all day long. Reminds me of the ignorant bliss of my childhood, when we had a patch next to our house. We moved before I was 10 and I missed that smell so much. (I know, plant some - right?)

My favorite sexual smell is a man's cock and ball sweat...love to rub my face over them and take the smell in, teasing him before I lick and suck him. Also fond of the smell of my own juices. ;)

Cinnamon and vanilla...something about the smell of baking makes me think of comfort and safety.

I should probably think about how that relates to my being fat.

The man in my life that I have that good link, smells like soap. I have no idea what it is but I want to keep it that trigger.
An old boyfriend smelled like Canoe.....I was in a store recently and there it was on the counter. God, the overload of memories it brought back.

Old School

Shalimar perfume my wife used in her youth
When she wears it now, I am transported to her youthful beauty.

I have a few things. The smell of grease, oil and fuel. It reminds me of hanging out with my dad in his garage handing him tools as he explained to his daughter what he was working on and how it functions.

When ever I go home to California the combination smell of sea water and flowers drifts on the air and it's like no where else in the world and I know I am home.

Like many others drakkar noir reminds me of my first real boyfriend and also the man who took my virginity. If I happen to smell it on anyone I just want to breathe them in for as long as possible. I still love that scent.

Real honeysuckle takes me back to a college crush, hanging out outside the women's dorm and it growing wild. Spent many a nights walking home with the smell of honeysuckle and a raging boner lol

I have no idea, Lynyrd Skynyrd? Females always say I smell really nice but I have no idea what they are smelling. I refuse to wear cologne as I cannot stand that crap.

The smell of old books. My mom was a teacher. She loved to read and was always surrounded by books. I stopped visiting the library because it made me miss her. And now I miss my momma and the library. Yeah, old books. Makes me teary eyed.

Eternity perfume...
A girl I had a crush on in high school used to wear it. We eventually dated for awhile and that scent just stayed with me. To this day, if I smell Eternity for women, it reminds me of her.
