That one special song

When you go to the smiley site, you have to select the http settings for the smileys, so you can use them in your signature line. It's kind of a pain.

Jimi was beautiful, wasn't he? I party at his grave every once in awhile. Look for the Sundial...then follow the Path...

Saddest songs: Any drunken, half-assed attempt at Romance by Ozzy...

Shiraz, are you SHURE that your song isn't "It's a small, a small, world"?

My pick is a very under rated song by the Rolling Stones "Let it Bleed" I thought it was great the frist time I heard it.

I'm repeating my self here from another thread but at the moment it's go to be "Couldn't do you no harm" by Beth Orton.

well I was wondering, Haze, how does the song Purple Haze make you feel? ... It must evoke some kind of strong emotion if you picked it as your UserName. :)

i love Jimi too .. i am writing an erotic story now bout being a groupie at Woodstock and I am hanging with Jimi and Janis ... so I guess you could say that I have been thinking a lot bout Jimi lately ... ;)

I know this is not by the original artists, but I was listening to a christmas cd (yes, it was a christmas cd so sue me), and I heard Silent Night performed by Boyz II Men. It brought tears to my eyes because it was so beautiful.

Boyz II Men Christmas Interpretations?

God girl, I listen to that CD constantly, doesn't matter to me if it's August or December! That has got to be one of the most beautiful CD's ever made!

To answer the original question, I'd have to say Jackson Browne's "Late for The Sky" It just blows me away.

Whenever I hear Fingers Taylor's harp at the beginning of Jimmy Buffett's "A Pirate Looks at Forty", it takes me down Memory Lane to a time when my life was almost identical to the one described in the song. Buffett could have written this song about me and what my life amounted to at the time -- rum, sunny beaches, and shady dealings.

"Walking After Midnight" -Patsy Cline, I'm listening to it now. Heck, anything by her does the trick.

"At Last" - Etta James. My husband and I danced to that when we got married, just the two of us in the living room, sigh. It was the only time in our relationship we've done that, he hates to dance.

"Love Song" - The Cure, ahh, memories...

I like purple, I'm usually in a haze, and I do think Jimi Hendrix is Killer.

Funny thing, I don't think I actually heard any of his music until he'd been dead for 10 years. I'd heard of him, but in the small city where I grew up, there wasn't a lot of exposure to anything but pop music. Being a guitar player myself, I have only realized recently that his revolutionary wizardry influenced the way I played, without even hearing him. I only heard the bands he had influenced.

Everybody has a guitarman they like to call the greatest of all time. Clapton, Hendrix, Beck, Vaughn, these are all great choices. I pick Jimmy Page.

I suppose I should have called myself "Hats off to Roy Harper" or "Black Dog"........yeah, "Black Dog" now that's cool................Hey Laurel?
