Why do we war against ourselves in the name of Religion?

First off all it seems to me Lava Goddess brought up a good point: re: why must we bash Christianity or anyone elses religion or beliefs. Being a Christian myself, I will try to refrain from any bias here. Although I will personally never become a Buddist, Hindu, etc, I believe in treating all men and women with respect in regards to their beliefs, no matter how silly or shallow they may appear to be. God states in His Word in Genesis chapter1 verse 27 "So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them". Therefore IF this is true (which I personally believe is) then why wrong one another and hate due to our differences in personal belief. My best friend happens to be Agnostic/New Age, and I have spoken to him about my personal relationship with Christ and how accepting Him into my heart has fulfilled the mystery of life's purpose within my being (through Jesus death on Calvary). My friend thinks I'm weak willed and foolish in regard to my personal beliefs and believes it to be a crutch.That is ok, he has his RIGHT to believe what he chooses, BUT it has not soured our friendship any. WE both RESPECT OUR DIFFERENCES!!
As far as the main topic. According to the Bible, God, Jesus (God in the form of a man, sent to earth to redeem us from our sins* re:* Genesis chapter3: the fall of man) and the Holy Spirit: all three are One and make up the trinity.
It seems only correct that if Jesus came in the form of man, yes He would of had a penis. Although God and the Holy Spirit being in the immortal form of spirit would obviously have no use to eliminate liquid waste from their spiritual bodies which require no food or water to exist. AND..would have no need to procreate.
All I have to say in defense of Christianity is " before you knock it, try asking in prayer if Jesus Christ really is the Son of God, ask Him and ask Him if He IS, to show himself to you and come into your heart and forgive your sins. Sounds hokey doesn't it? What does anyone have to lose by asking? If its so hokey and harmlessly stupid, what fear prevents one from at least ASKING before JUDGING or RIDICULING.
Nobody is perfect, and no Christian or other believer in other religions are perfect. Christians etc are HUMAN, not better than the rest of the world. I have a penis and desire to be pleasured like everyone else so I'm no better than the next guy. Please..if you don't like Christians..thats ok, but show a little respect to yourself and others by remembering we're men and women created by the same Creator. Better to love than to war!

Hi siren. All I stated was personal opinion and belief. I'm not here to preach (lets face it..would a Christian site like to hear preaching about erotic sex as opposed to the belief in abstaination?). I'm in a bit of a catch22. After a long-term breakup (with an active sex life) it is pretty hard to deny yourself, and remain pure to your Maker at the same time. It is a big struggle to say the least, nonetheless my own personal responsibility. I am not here to judge others, just to rectify my own personal mysteries regarding erotic sex. See what I mean...and to think I quoted that from the Bible with no bias on my interpretations of that passage. I could get into this theological debate thing but there's no point. Every man and woman must make their own decisions and interpretations here, and I respect yours Inside Shiraz. I just find this whole ordeal of Religious wars, debates and the such appalling, as they come down to nothing but hatred and bitterness.Like I said I didn't want to cause a stir. I have to answer for my own actions as we all do one day. I had enough with the Ramlick post thing, and I don't want to see this become another "debate thread".
