That danged Red H

You know, even that dude who makes these "I called Thanos at Three A.M." videos over on Youtube at least balanced a Fidget Spinner on his ring for ten seconds before asking me to "smash that like button"...

That's amateur stuff.
I meant a proper 5* bartering thread, with clearly listed prices for votes depending on category, top list position, etc. Hell, some superlative comment bartering should work just as well. The price would be higher for a non-anonymous comment, for example. And then you even get to link that same comment in the boasting thread.

I can already see the saliva dripping...

Jesus.

We should open a thread for bartering 5* votes. It would exceed even the comment-bragging thread in popularity.
That sounds like a story idea! Anyway, what is the OP offering on the open market? A 5 vote in return? Or turn the whole thing into a side hustle, and sell dozens or hundreds of them. It would only be worth cash (into my Cayman Islands bank account please) if it was done on a very large scale. Make sure the money is laundered properly. (See Breaking Bad.) Frankly, it doesn't sound like a plausible business plan.

"The Dark Web of Literotica"

It would make a great story. ;)

So what is the value of the Red H? Mere prestige, I guess, among people one has never met? People will value some strange things, like crystal meth, fentanyl, "trank," and so forth. As the cartels and others have discovered, there is a huge market of people who will do anything to get really, really fucked-up. Virgil Sollozzo was willing to kill to get a piece of the action. Red H's just don't cut it.

Maybe you climb the ladder in the gang by acquiring more?
And the elusive leader of the cartel, the guy who has no less than fifty Red H... all of them in Loving Wives!

I was chatting with a group of author friends and the subject of the Red H came up. After a lengthy discussion and review of data they had gathered, we realized that after announcing the release of a new story, the score would drop almost immediately. And it seemed that this would happen whenever their post was in the AH. Soooo, since I had a new story, I offered to go begging for 5’s to see if I could get some Incels to self identify.
Looks like it worked!
You can downvote me all you want, I don’t give a shit. But remember, my group of friends is watching and they are definitely not above serving some cold revenge 💀

Revenge on who? I reckon deliberate one-bombing comes from a bunch of readers who may not know about the sweeps mechanism, but regardless, they're anonymous, unknowns in the dark. On whom do you reap vengeance, and how?

From someone who does not have a red H, I'll trade for one. I've got some fruit wrap playing cards. How many would it take? Oh wait. Those are for the grand daughter. How about... hearing aid batteries for a hearing aid I no longer have?

Well, based on how this thread seems to just be one big ruse to lure all the "incels" out of the woodworks, I wouldn't be surprised if their "friends" just downvote all the stories of whoever participated in the thread.

Still trying to figure out what all of this is even supposed to be about, though. Or how saying "Don't ask for people to manipulate your story ratings" makes me an incel 🤷‍♂️.
