-What is that 1 thing that you keep putting in all you stories?
-You may not do it, but if you do what is it a colour fetish etc.
-There is one author that has to put a ford GT in every story.

All my stories take place in RI. That's deliberate because I know the area and get a kick out of referring to RI locations and landmarks.

Also its a homage to HPL who based many of his stories here.

My first few stories I couldn't keep my foot fetish out of things and all of them featured either foot worship or at least a lengthy foot rub.

Nuthin wrong with that! My plan is to appeal to a limited cohort of special readers.

I usually get a hockey reference in, if it's not one of my hockey romances. :)

As for setting I frequently do the opposite of you, LC, in that I often don't specify anything except for a general area. Like "East Coast" or "Northeast" or something like that. I suppose I do keep things on the Eastern side of the country, b/c that's what I know best. It's where I've always lived.

I set King's Bay in California and made a weather mistake. Only one person said anything, but still. That'll teach me. ;)

Actually my last e-book took place in Chicago and I was googling like mad.

I had spent a couple of weeks in Hoffman estates outside of Chicago for work a few yars ago, but other wise had never been there.

Look Lovecraft I said I was ignoring you. The grown up thing to do is to not post in my threads. You can be assured I won't post in yours.

Oh, no, with Lovecraft68 decides to harass you, it's a life-time obsession with him.

Its a freedom of speech board. I will post where I please thank you.

At least I only posted once on your co-author post rather than on all six of them that you started.

Women always orgasm in my stories. ;)

Also, I seem to include piss. Most of the time, just someone relieving themself. Out of a tree, off the side of the ship, sitting on the john, letting it go in the ocean.

Lately, though I've been splashing it on my characters. :cattail:

I find I always have to have one red headed person in a story, bright red for scifi. Auburn ranged in a few stories.

_Something golden sometimes.

_But I do dream of having all or most of my stories together in the end, with all or most of my major the characters meeting each-other for afternoon tea. Probably in another universe or in a actors studio discussion.

"The Inn at The End Of The World"

or The Restaurant At The end Of The Universe.

I almost always focus on a protagonist with a solid moral center. Male, female, young, older, doesn't matter. Gotta be one of the good guys. That white hat may have a little dust or soot (or even blood) on it, but it's still a white hat.

I was about to say that there's also at least some level of violence; maybe not in every chapter, sure, but at least once in every story someone gets punched or shot or stabbed. But then I realized that no, that's not accurate, I have one story that's just happy and friendly wall-to-wall sex... so maybe I'm not so repetitive after all. :)

I would agree I do the moral compass bit. I have a long story where I dirty the main character a little but I resurrect a new on. It's about 10 Lit pages so I had a lot of space to do it.
I've been getting more and more violent. I murdered a rapist with a stone. I had a heart attack. A space federation swat team taking down an alien with a son shooting his father. Now I have a corporate special ops take down.

I'm pretty sure every story was water: showers, baths, onsen, skinny dipping. One way or another, my characters get wet.

I can't seem to resist having crossover characters between stories. Plus all of my stories involve two smart, strong characters in some sort of sexual conflict.
