Thanksgiving At Denny's This Year

Aw well, what the hell. There won't be any family get together for me this year. Since I have to work a little later, I'll be gnawling my Thanksgiving supper at Denny's this year. But it's all good. I just have to remember not to get so stuffed as to unbutton my pants and slump on their seats to go to sleep.

Hey, at least you're having Thanksgiving. It was canceled at our house due to lack of participation. :|

Both of us supposed to be working today. But hubby got out of work by tearing a muscle in his leg and had to be taken to the hospital. For dinner, we had cereal and ramen noodles.

I wish we'd had cereal and ramen noodles. Less mess! Big meal at the Muffin's house today. Yes, I did the cooking and the cleaning. To be fair, they've been doing work in the yard, on the truck, and winterizing the house. But the dishes are done, food is put away, dogs devouring their dogfood covered in Thanksgiving gravy, and the kid is taking a "my belly is full" nap. So I get to write!!!!!!

I'm overjoyed.

Happy turkey day, guys. It could be worse, you know. You could have to spend it with my mother.

Well, my Thanksgiving "bellyful" came 2 days earlier when many of the employees at my division (including myself) chipped in for an employee Thanksgiving get together. Our service leader and the guy that cleans the division got together and dished up a killer dinner variety. Needless to say, afterthe mechanics were done pigging out, there were alot of buses that were not going back out on the road that day.

I wish I had a Denny's...

The one down the street was condemmed because the place was pretty nasty. The place almost burned to the ground before anyone eating there noticed and stampeded for the door.

Oh, I actually had turkey...but I just thought this was a Denny's thread.
