You need to be fair. To both yourself and the people here.

Many of us here, count you both as our friends.

When two people I consider friends have a fight, I don't take sides. I can like both A and B, even if A and B hate each other.

Similarly, if A nd B are an item, and they have a falling out, I don't take sides. I loved Des. I loved renza too. And even though their break up was particualarly horrific, I never ceased to love them both. Even though I haven't spoken to either in months, I still love them both.

When two people are together, and things don't work out, it's easy for the friend of A or the friend of B. But the freind of both is put in a particularly untenable position. Not interveneing, is practically the only way for such a friend of both not to choose sides.

When two of my friends are at war, I refuse to get involved, refuse to take a side. In general, refuse to even discuss the situation with either. Ditto when to of my freinds are an item. I maintain a steady neutrality. I consider you both my friends.

I'm sorry things worked out as they did for you here. But if you will give it due consideration, you'll see there was no course of action I, or any of us in the middle, could have taken, that wouldn't have been taking sides.

When your freinds are fighting, it sucks. When they are together and break up, it sucks even worse. The middle is no fun place to be. And the choices made from the middle are never as satisfactory as the ones made from one side or the other. Circumstance, however, sometimes places us in the middle and while we may hate it, we have to play the hand we are dealt.

I almost left a couple of times, over petty shit, and I'm glad that I didn't. It would have been a mistake. Hope that you aren't making that mistake. Clearly, you do have plenty of friends who would miss you. Just a thought before taking a rash action. When I almost left, people urged me not to go, and I'm glad that I listened to them.
