In the winter of 2000 I was heavily pregnant, unable to work, and bored. I dealt with that boredom by writing a few erotic stories that I published here. That first story is still up (but now it has been checked for both spelling and grammar) with a quarter-million clicks, dozens of hearts, and a 4.16.

Nearly 22 years... it boggles my mind.

I can’t remember how I came across Lit. I know it must have been by accident possibly when I was searching for something else. But I’m glad I did. It’s given me a lot of pleasure in one way or another.

I honestly can’t remember when I first came here, but probably over 20 years back. For a long time, i just visited, but after a kick in the pants by one of the gang here I finally registered, dusted off some old stories I’d first published elsewhere, and started writing again. It’s been a blast.

Thanks to Laurel and Manu for keeping this site running, and the gang here in the Hangout for the encouragement and advice.

I came here as a reader within the site's first few years. The site's design wasn't in my face, the quality of the writing was better than it was on competing sites, and I liked the content limitations, which kept Lit from turning into a nest of pedophiles.

I wasn't here long before life consumed my available time, but I came back when I had time to write. Lit was where I wanted to put my stories. Then, after a few rough months trying to understand AH, I even found the AH community to be interesting and helpful.

I've been a member of Literotica for 12.5 years. I don't know who I'd be or what I'd be doing if it weren't for discovering this platform that has taught me so much about myself and started me on a career I never could have imagined.
