Anyone know of a freebie Windows Editor with
Paste Quoted in the Edit Menu? So many times
I want to paste my webmail into an editor and
spell check, then paste it quoted with the little
'>' thingies at the start of each line and nothing
does it!

(I don't want to do 'reply' in the WebMail
'cause it forces you to upload attachments you've
already uploaded before. That's like watchin'
paint dry! :) I like to "Forward" an already uploaded
attachment and just paste the email text into it. Way
faster. )

TIA

I would just use an email client to do this if I ever wanted to.

Outlook Express or Outlook will do your spell checking in an instant, I think if you use Outlook it will allow you to use Word as your editor.

Is there some other reason not to use them? I know that there are security issues with both of them, but if you are careful with your email, and keep your virus checking up and running, there shouldn't be much in the way of real problems.

Here is a search of the site I download freebie stuff from: - Click.

Perhaps one of the freeware ones may be better for you.

Thanks for the reply.

Hmm, after experimentation it turns
out my Pegasus Email Client will do it.
It just takes an additional mouse click.
Edit=>Paste Special then click on the
"plain text only formatted as email reply"
radio button.

As for the MS apps, I try to use light weight processes unless there's just
something I have to use.

I did find something out though.
In Hotmail web mail if you use
Firefox there's no "RTF ON"
choice in the composer. Bring it
up in IE and it's there. Weird! :)
