yessssssss - though they're both doing pretty well right now.

He's more inclined to get quietly frustrated, which so far is easy to talk him beyond without smothering.

She's very even keeled, though she has started having evenings where nothing's right, and she's crying in bed waiting to fall asleep. I don't guess it helps w/ modelling emotional behaviors for her that her mom and I are so low key. She doesn't get a lot of examples of dealing with turbulent emotions.

One thing that I do appreciate is that - so far - communication is very open. She doesn't broadcast the fact that she's having her period, and she's more reluctant about letting her brother know what's going on, but she's got no problem telling me if she needs supplies, or when we might optimize the period/discomfort free time on her calendar for a hike or camping trip, etc. Makes being dad a little easier.

Ennnyhooo ...

I'm sure it'll get rockier - we're only now dipping our toes into this sea.

Oh, boy. You're just getting into the hormonal stage! Fun! NOT!

Greetings to all

Hoping everyone has a great week!

Seemed to be wet and rainy over half the state this weekend, but the sun is shining bright today!!! At least here in central Texas.

All this talk of teenage girls has my hear skipping a beat. Raised two boys so far. They are easy! The youngest in 13 but in Boy Scouts is a great kid. No problems, very responsible.

My daughter is only 11. So far, so good, but she scares the hell out of me!! Tall, blonde very pretty and very outgoing and popular at school. When she starts dating, it is going to kill me!!!!

Hey there DC! Count your blessings. All 3 of my kids are ToughLove kids. What I wouldn't give for at least one "easy love" kid.
Yeah, Daddy needs to get his shotgun ready!
lol

Well, let's see. I think we've got some kind of test around here that involves margaritas and mexican food....

But you like Ninfa's on Navigation, so that probably gets you enough points to neutralize your Yankeeness.....

We are, after all, the "Friendly State", so welcome aboard! :D

by my homing device....

No, dont LQQK there.....

I mean my taste buds. Hmmmmm. That place was good.

(incidently, in reality I had to come back to the surface to find the underground parking garage entrance to where I parked.) LOL. Didnt have any more chances to explore the tunnels after that.

Homing device? :D I wonder what that might be....hehehehe

Yes, my mind is in the gutter. After all, I'm a Litizen! Where else would it be! lol

Welcome...if Somey says you can stay, you can stay.

Hi BlueDaisy,

Your mind is in the gutter, here let me clean it up a bit for you....

um wait, it might be kinkier where it is.

Somey....?

Ya know, Texas is supposed to have a law that if you plan on moving to Texas in the future you can delcare yourself based out of Tx. (This was Fact, a couple of years ago)

: )~ <<<< Heh, dont abuse it.

Hmm....cleaning up my gutter mind...why on earth would you want to do that? lol

"Somey" is short for "Someplace"

I didn't know about that law. Of course, I've been in Texas all my life, despite us being a military family. We're the oddity amongst all our military friends. lol

How's all the Texas folks tonite??

Hi sara! *smooch* (as Nora says, in a totally heterosexual way, of course! lol)

Hey...when are we gonna have a SA LitTogether?

Hi everyone! Just popping in before running off to work. At least it's Friday....it IS Friday, right? If it's not, please don't tell me. I don't think I could handle that disappointment right now. My cold caused me to wake up choking at frickin' 4 o'clock -- too little sleep makes for such a long day....... blech!

Hope everyone else's Friday is off to a better start!

Good Morning Texas!

A lovely good morning to all!!!

May your day be filled with sunshine, a cool breeze, a warm heart and plenty of smiles.

Good morning everyone. Wet and dreary here in SA. How's the rest of the state?

Tiger....tell us more about this amazing tail of yours *wicked grin*

Re: BlueDaisy, thats personal, I dont even know you....

You might not ever be the same after that experience.

A tail is narrow,
It flicks,
It twitches,
It has a mind of its own.

You never know if you can trust that it would behave.....
I could not subject you to such torure if you are not prepared for it.
