Howdy Sara. Good EVENING to you! lol I went out and did errands, then came home and took a nap. Now I'm waiting for hubby to come home so we can go get my hair cut then go meet our friends for supper.

I had a bummer of an afternoon. Went to Ft. Sammy to get a prescription for my son. Waited for what seemed like ages (got there when they were on #193; my number was 222). They got up to number 213 then announced that the computers were down and it would be at least another 30 minutes before they got them back up. Dagnabit. I came on home and will go back tomorrow...hopefully the computer problems will be solved, and there won't be a hunnerd people ahead of me. lol Hey...I can dream! lol

Hey thanks for the invite. I just might take you up on it. I remember when you and Mrs. D couldn't make it at the last minute to my last Houston gathering. You'll have no such excuses when they have one in Austin, now......

Ok so I think I announced to everyone about having my thyroid removed due to caner a few weeks ago. I'm doing fine but around the time of the Dallas get together I probably won't be. I have to go off my meds to have a body scan done to see if there are any thyroid cells that may have migrated elsewhere and then take radioactive iodine to kill off any remaining cells. I'll only have to be in isolation for a few days so I don't contaminate anyone so that's not really a problem but being off the meds is. I have to be off of them for several weeks so any remaining thyroid cells will absorb the radiation. This will make me kinda sick. So I'm coming to the party but I've already started to feel odd on the supplemental meds (take those for 2wks then off everything)and I can't promise how lively I'll be. I've had to see 2 different endocrinologist and both have told meI am going to "weird" out...like I need to get anymore wierd!

All in all I just want you guys to know that if I'm a bitch and look like I've been hit by a Jerry Reed/Burt Reynolds Cannonball truck convoy there is a reason.

I guess i'll go paste thiss to the Tx Lit Party thread...and then Ithink I'm gonna go rentthat damn cannon Ball Run movie. I love Jerry Reed! She's got the hos and I got the saddle...together we gonna ride ride ride..... Yehaw!
