Well, you know that you can go to any of the Lit Togethers, don't you? You don't have to be "attached" to any particular region to attend one. I'm hoping to make the one in the DFW area next month (not holding my breath, however).

Thanks, sweetie. I'm kinda put out that it didn't go as smoothly as I'd hoped, too, but then I went into it knowing that just about anything could happen. Unfortunately, it did.

So...what are you waiting for? Get busy chasing me around Lit again! lol
 
cuz cracker and tkarrde2001, welcome to Lit. Cracker, whereabouts in Texas do you reside? If you want to say, that is. You can be vague....north, south, east, west...if you prefer. lol

Melli....my surgery wasn't totally "ok" (the doc cut into my liver, then I developed an infection from it) but I think I'm ok now. I hope so, anyway. lol

I didn't mean to get a life outside of lit, but then this big, strong, handsome man stepped into my life and swept me off my feet.

I won't forget about this place, too many friends here. I tried to introduce the man to it, but he's not a huge fan of BBs he prefers chat.

I'll adopted Minnie, currently the only other lister in my area that I speak to is the one who shares my bed and he has less then 20 posts.

I hope you make Dallas, I'm planning on it now that my fiscal situation has vastly improved :)

I'm soooo envious! Must be nice to be young and in love. I was young and in love once. Now I'm just old and married. lol

Well, tell your guy to get with the show....we wanna meet him! lol We have to see if he's good enough for our Melli, doncha know!

I'm really gonna try to make it to Dallas. Keeping all fingers and toes crossed!

Guess I'll go take a nap. Kids are back in school (yea!), house is a wreck, but mom is tired and the housework will still be here when I get up.

I saw the posts about prayers for me, guys, and I'm so appreciative. I guess they worked, because I'm here! I posted a follow-up to my pre-op thread (darn if I can remember what I called the new one...lol). but I do appreciate the prayers, good thoughts, etc.

For those of you who don't know, I had a gastric bypass last Tuesday, 7/15. I'm doing well, considering that my innards have been folded, spindled and mutilated (and if that phrase isn't familiar to you, you're much younger than I!).

I'm just tired of a liquid diet. I'm ready for some real food...even if it will have to be blenderized for another week or so. So bring on the pureed Hamburger Helper! LOL!

Did someone go on a tubing trip without me? Or what was that all about?

Damnewc....pretty cool description of your favorite diety (my diety of choice, too, btw).

Take care, fellow Texans and I hope that I'll be able to make it up to the DFW LitTogether. Just darn it, I won't be able to get drunk this time. I don't think the ones I've already met at previous gatherings will recognize a sober Blue!

Me too, I was on the road for a month, my wife and I hated it, so I quit and came home.

Well, thanks Blue, I fancy myself a sweet guy...:D Now I am doing local gasoline delivery, 12 hours 6 days on and 2 off, but I am home evry night and will actually make more than I was on the road.

So, my baby and I have been catchin' up on more than the internet!!!:D And we have more time to play with our friends now...:p
