Your words were so much better than mine. I just kept mouthing Oh My God.

That's a scary sight without even throwing the big rig into the equation.

I was mouthing it too when I read his post. Scary stuff, that.

Gee, I need to login to this site more. LOL.

Everytime I do I find myself spending hours in the forums if I'm not reading the stories. :D

Well, if anyone is interested, I am already throwing a party next week so the whole crew is invited (it's a hotel bar, so privacy issues aren't a big deal). it's a social mixer.

Hey all

Lots of different things...School started back for the kids. I was very excited about that. :D

Lit get-together in Sept...Should be fun. You going?

I don't stop in often but if Lit members are gathering in Sept here in the great state of Texas then I would like to be invited .... if y'all agree then let me know where and when. I would like to meet as many folks as I can. :nana:

Round Rock is just great. Do you like living there I have often thought of moving to the burbs?
it suits me...I grew up in Austin, but I don't ever get into Austin proper other than for work....otherwise I stay in RR...everything I need is here. I want to get a house and I'll probably end up further out in Hutto or Taylor LOL

Sounds good. The only thing I go into Austin for nowadays is sixth street and work from 2nd office.

Used to live in Austin years ago. Haven't been back since 1999. It had grown tremendously even then. :)

It has everything that anyone would actually need here.....LOVE IT!!

Just moved to austin a few months ago and love it.. agree with Maria that everything you need and more is here - cool people, good music, cold beer, long luxuriously warm weather (i can't believe it's still gorgeous in October - there'd be snow by now back NE). Only thing that would make it better is a little spice to the evenings..

just wait until February, you'll be wishing for the heat! LOL that's when we usually get our ice storms and the occasional snow event - just watch though if it snows or ices here, don't go out driving, even though you may be from up north, driving here in the snow and ice is completely different LOL cause seems that people around here like to go out and see what the city looks like under ice or snow and then wonder why their car ended up under the bumper of the guy in front of them or in the ditch at the side of the road LOL

Snowed/iced in here in Austin. How is everyone else?
I live between DFW and Austin... and have a 50 mile commute to the University and College I teach at... not pretty, but survived the ice
